They’ve sent an email about “cancellation tickets” for both performances tomorrow. (You can sign up to try to get them).
Doesn’t sound like they have plans to cancel.

Swift karma for them adding that extra evening show.

Karma for... trying to ensure more people can see the original cast?

People bought tickets to the final performance specifically. After it sold out, they added another show making it no longer the final. Pretty shoddy and greedy business.

Or they extended the opportunity for more people to see the cast's final day of performances. Clearly there was demand for it. Whether it's the final or penultimate performance, it's still their last day. Sorry, don't have a lot of sympathy for fans who need to earn bragging rights.

So they’ll be kind in one direction by “extending an opportunity” but not kind in another, by taking away the moment from fans who jumped at the first opportunity? And I don’t think it’s a desire for bragging rights. It’s wanting a moment that’s very personal for people. If the second to last performance of the Brits is the same as the last, then why not just be happy with being at the show three days prior? Or an entire week?
They could have added an 11.30am, which would have been an interesting novelty and sold out easily as an extra time slot for tourists, paid whatever union penalties might apply, and kept people happy.
I’d imagine they’ve lost some loyalty sales for the future.

There are approximately 20 seats on Telecharge for the evening show. Still at the same ridiculous prices though. $220ish for the rear mezzanine ain’t no bargain

The matinee was a regularly scheduled performance that just, through happenstance, became the original cast's last performance. That being the case, and seeing the increased demand, the production added a second performance, this one pitched directly for fans that was then the "true" final performance and while they initially bungled the sales, they did end up honoring pricing and ticket changes for that.
If there's any "karma" coming, it's for the fans who had a fit about the second performance happening because they absolutely needed to see the final performance of the cast. For the production, it's a wash entirely because that additional performance was just gravy in terms of ticket sales.

Can they possibly reschedule the final show to tomorrow night?

No, too much hassle with the unions and ticket holders wouldn’t all be available and the streets/trains will still be a mess.

I don't think it's always about bragging rights. Sometimes special things happen at final performances and superfans (I am not one, didn't really care for the show) want to witness it.

With the travel ban through noon tomorrow, I can't imagine that's going to be happening either.

Exactly. This is a group of performers who have been together for seven years (three of them longer), three of whom wrote it, all of them who were involved in creating this show and building their characters. This is their final performance together as a group ever. It should be a massively emotional experience (I'm pretty sure I saw a quote from Malone about how he thought he wouldn't be able to get through "Dear Bill" without crying). The idea that the fans who've been supporting this cast and this show for years only want to see this group's final performance ever for "bragging rights" and not out of love and appreciation and respect and for what should be a very emotional experience is absurd.

Also, this board is always full of interesting takes, but "The fans who've been supporting this show for years who'd like to experience the final show ever of a group of performers they love in a show they love and are willing to spend hundred or thousands of dollars for the privilege to come to New York to do so are entitled losers who need to cope, while the producers who specifically advertised and hyped up a particular matinee as the final show only to add a new final show two weeks before the date (on a Friday, without preparing the Telecharge agents who would have to deal with the issue) did so out of kindness and benevolence to let even more fans see the show" ...is certainly a take.

Might be the best option they have on short notice. They've only got two hours to prep, after all.
