Just got the Godspell newsletter... Confirms closing date of June 24
I was trying to figure out why I didn't get the email and then I remembered that I'd unsubscribed because I didn't like the show and Hunter left.
I'm sad for the actors, but they are all talented and should hopefully move on to great things!
It'll be interesting to see who takes the space next...
Shocked. (Persoanlly, I didn't love it, didn't hate it.)
You have to admit: Ken certainly gave this show every chance to succeed and hung in there longer than most producers would have.

Very upset about this. It's a joyous celebration of the Gospel Message.

If they had opened with Corbin Bleu it might have worked out. That blonde twink turned a lot of people off.
He turned me on....
This is proof there is no god.

God is dead and Godspell killed Her!
Ah, that's too bad. This is making me regret not being able to see it when I was NYC for my birthday.

Namo, you've been complaining about this show and putting it down since it opened. Have you even bothered to see it?
I've had to put up with Godspell for so long, in many different (but all basically the same) versions, and I've always found it to be a diabetic piece of mindless goop.
But that number on the Tonys this week looked like a production by an amateur dramatic society from an unusually unsophisticated agricultural university.
And then they shot confetti at the audience, which proves that no one connected to the show thinks the material is any good, because that's what you do when you're desperate. Shoot confetti.
