We've been hearing a lot about Broadway rumors for most of these shows, but also INTO THE WOODS supposedly wants the Shed after its West End run at the Noel Coward in the fall.

Was hoping to see Kate Fleetwood win - she’s giving my favorite Witch performance of all time. But happy for VHB as well, who has some great standout moments (and the best song in the show).
This reminds me that I should bite the bullet and buy a Kenrex ticket…

Cole was so funny in their acceptance speech "I want to thank my husband who doesn't exist but that's ok", especially after Luke Shepherd who won Best Director thanked his husband LOL.

The Shed huh? that’s an interesting choice…I was also thinking Perelman Arts Center would’ve been a good choice as well

I’m kinda shocked by the Punch love. It seemed not well liked here. I loved it. Was it the American cast? Genuinely curious. Also, I hate YouTube for cutting everything up.

Easily my least favorite ITW production. While it’s a better musical, Evita was a much better production.

I had honestly been hoping “American Psycho” would pull off a surprise win there, but knew it wouldn’t happen. I’m curious to know how many of these cast members from “Into the Woods” will be at but Coward, since quite a few are leaving the production at The Bridge in a couple weeks.

American Psycho was my choice for best musical revival. The production at the Almeida Theatre was riveting and a high point during my three week stay. Seeing 24 shows made my theatre going trip a real treat.

I adored this production of INTO THE WOODS, but like 60% of that is due to the pitch-perfect cast. I don't know if I'd want to see it again with different actors.
I didn't love PADDINGTON quite as much as everyone else - the score is just okay, and it suffers from the same third-act problems as the movie - but the good parts are really good.
I guess Sean Hayes can now be touted as an Olivier Award Winner too (co-winning the strange category of "Best Musical Contribution")

I admit I'm slightly less inclined to see it without Kate Fleetwood and Jamie Parker, who were so good, but they've earned a lot of trust from me re casting so I'm curious to see how it goes.

I actually did see the show without both and I’m happy to report it still works. In particular, I think there is room for interpretation to have better voices in these roles even though their acting was excellent. There was something haunting about Kate though that I just can’t forget.

I would just like to applaud the team behind the Olivier Award broadcast. That is how you do it. Looked gorgeous and I could hear every word and the orchestra sounded great.
The Tony Awards needs to clean house and hire the team from London. I'm so exhausted by our CBS telecasts riddled with bad camera work and sound problems.

Kate Fleetwood is returning to ITW when it transfers to the West End. She’s taking a break from the show to support her daughter through taking GCSEs and starting college.

PADDINGTON winning 8 Oliviers, I believe, breaks SUNSET BOULEVARD’s record of 7. Also YES VICTORIA HAMILTON-BARRITT!!!!"
Technically it is 7 as you can't count Best Actor twice.
Paddington: The Musical won seven Olivier Awards at the 2026 ceremony, dominating the night with wins including Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical (shared by James Hameed and Arti Shah), Best Director, and Best Set Design. The production, which received 11 nominations, broke records for the most wins for a single show in a single night.
Key 2026 Olivier Awards Won by Paddington:
- Best New Musical
- Best Actor in a Musical (James Hameed & Arti Shah)
- Best Supporting Actor in a Musical
- Best Supporting Actress in a Musical
- Best Director
- Best Set Design
- Best Costume Design
But then the article says "The production, which received 11 nominations, broke records for the most wins for a single show in a single night. "
Which at 7 would tie Sunset.
