Re: OTHER DESERT CITIES 2026 Previews

You opinion is on the mark,so well written I couldn't agree more. I saw this play at Lincoln Center and then Broadway followed by a terrific London version. The past productions were thrilling unfortunately this one can't compare. I guess the reviews will be mixed but the box office will not suffer any.

Selling $500. tickets to suckers who pay it. Theatre is on the way out of reach for working people. A friend paid $249. for a lousy seat side orchestra and was annoyed by the people around him drinking throughout the play.

I refuse to pay exorbitant prices to see a play or musical and my theatre going has diminished greatly. Sad Broadway is in big trouble and headed to ruin.

New Jennifer Nettles musical, GIULIA, will premiere in NY this fall

The music was so loud when I saw this musical. I felt the actors had to screech and sing above the musicians.Isn't the sound person aware of this. We all felt the music ar times drowned out the singers.

Grabbing a $59. ticket the day it was posted was a smart move to see this off Broadway at LA Mama. The next day all those priced seats were gone. I got a day in December.

American Psycho was my choice for best musical revival. The production at the Almeida Theatre was riveting and a high point during my three week stay. Seeing 24 shows made my theatre going trip a real treat.

Saw Paranormal Activity last week. It made me jump a few times and highly recommend seeing it. In London the Thursday matinee was sold out. A real thriller that's what Broadway needs.

Has the Public Theater lost its relevance?

Poor seating in main lobby 2 or 3 benches and 100 people standing.

What's next for the St. James ?

Probably be dark for awhile. Pattington The Musical in about two years is possible. Big House to fill and a small off Broadway musical spoof isn't the answer.

Show looks cheap and new sets needed because it looks like a high-school production. But the audience loves it none the less. Smart move having a 6:30 Sunday show.

The logo is perfect but the show suffers and it's more of an event to see than a good musical. I think Vanessa Williams help to keep it afloat in that huge Dominion Theatre. I doubt a Broadway transfer and if so it needs some work. For a show about fashion the costumes were blah +.
