Olivier Awards 2026

American Psycho was my choice for best musical revival. The production at the Almeida  Theatre was riveting and a high point during my three week  stay. Seeing 24 shows made my theatre going trip a real treat.

March trip - what do I need to get in advance?

Oh Mary has been 50% at tbr TKTS booth lately.

Broadway Real Estate

Saw Paranormal Activity last week. It made me jump a few times and highly recommend seeing it. In London the Thursday matinee  was sold out. A real thriller that's what Broadway needs.

Has the Public Theater lost its relevance?

Poor seating in main lobby 2 or 3 benches and 100 people standing.

What's next for the St. James ?

Probably be dark for awhile. Pattington The Musical in about two years is possible. Big House to fill and a small off Broadway musical spoof isn't the answer.

The Public Theater - Ethan Lipton’s “The Seat of Our Pants”

No way this would be a financial disaster if moved uptown.

The Public Theater - Ethan Lipton’s “The Seat of Our Pants”

quizking101 said: "I…really don’t know what I just watched. I’m convinced everything on that stage was just something that felt like Stefon from SNL got really high and created an entire three hour metatheatrical special based on a really bad trip.

This show has EVERYTHING! Dinosaurs, war, line dancing, a vaudeville numberin mammal heads, and Tony nominee Micaela Diamond singing an 11 O’Clock number about ice cream.”

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/28/25

Like Thursday matinees makes for a better theatre going experience.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/28/25

Needs more advertising but producers are tight at this point.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/28/25

Show looks cheap and new sets needed because it looks like a high-school production. But the audience loves it none the less. Smart move having a 6:30 Sunday show.

London Calling?

2026 ? Is this correct. Thanks for changing year, makes more sense.now.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will release an Original London Cast Recording

The logo is perfect but the show suffers and it's more of an event to see than a good musical. I think Vanessa Williams help to keep it afloat in that huge Dominion Theatre. I doubt a Broadway transfer and if so it needs some work. For a show about fashion the costumes were blah +.

Forbes: Where To Eat After A Broadway Show

Carnegie Diner on 50th Street and 8th Avenue packs them in. Nice modern venue across from Wicked.

Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York)

Union Square theatre was torn down years ago.

Cate Blanchett to star in THE SEAGULL at the Barbican Theatre in London

Saw this modern version of The Seagull and Cate Blanchett shined through out. Not impressed with corn field scenery or golf cart on stage. Had a 20 £ seat in balcony so I was satisfied. Barbacan always a chore to travel to because of long walk from underground station.

Does BC/EFA still do Easter Bonnet?

It was always a fun event but lately there seems to be less and less of these events. Once Upon a time there were Gypsys and they also were forced to become a thing of the past. The robe was renamed...

Lost Lake

I wanted to leave but there was no intermission. The set was a run down lake cabin in really bad shape. She payed $1200. for a week and that alone was unbelievable. If I attended plays like this often I would give up on seeing show all together.
It I Only A Play Ticket Question

Yep the last row upstairs is only $99. What a bargain.

Poor Roxy this is not your day. Be careful they will stone you to death. Better start wearing a helmet.
atomic

I thought it was well done and some money was put in to this show that originated in Australia. The cast were very convincing in their portrayal of the scientists who created the bomb. They'll be critics of the show but I liked the score and glad I caught it.
