Damnit Concierge, you beat me to it...
Hee, sorry Ado!
I so hope Emily Skinner continues with the project.
Should be interesting to see if Ramin Karimloo and Shuler Hensley are in the cast - with ANASTASIA running and SWEET CHARITY possibly transferring.
Exciting! The theatre seems kind of small for what the project is being billed as, but maybe I'm wrong. I've been surprised by what they do with the space before.

Unless ANASTASIA folds as quickly as TUCK EVERLASTING, I sadly wouldn't bet on Karimloo
"
I really hope Tony Yazbeck continues with the show! (Josh Grisetti too but he's on the SR tour.)
Is this like the year of the non-profits producing commerical shows they shouldn't be producing? Between this and Holiday Inn, I don't think either should have landed at a non-profit. MTC should have taken Sweat to Broadway since they were stupid for not bringing in Ruined. And Prince should have gone into Studio 54.

Karimloo looks so sexy in the promo photos in all of those cute costumes.

Is there a precedent for a show going from one non-profit to another? Would Sweat have been allowed to be picked up by MTC after being with the Public?

MTC picked up "Venus in Fur" that was first produced by Classic Stage Company.
Since it's a limited run I could see Ramin leaving Anastasia early and then going back once this is over.
In her recent Theatre People podcast episode, Skinner says she's continuing with the production.
Anyone have any idea when tickets will go on sale for this??
Does the production still include a robot Harold Prince, as was rumored early on?
ROBOT HAROLD PRINCE?! What, did they get some sick idea from Love Never Dies?
Tickets aren't likely to go on-sale until springtime.
Ado, one plan during the long gestation of this show was to have it narrated by an Audio-Animatronic of the Hirschfeld caricature of Prince.

I would pay big money for that Carousel of Progress nightmare.

Same though
I believe it was a hologram/projection, not an Audio-Animatronic

God bless the sanity of the people who are willing to fund this utterly unnecessary vanity project
Tony makes everything a must see but Brandon Uranowitz being involved makes this even better!
