 I know Glenn Close had negotiated in her contract that she would get to keep her costumes but I have a nagging suspicion that Patti LuPone just outright stole hers!

I saw her in concert before she went to do Sunset Boulevard but have been cast. There was a section where she told about all the costumes and accessory she stole from different shows. Then she said I can’t wait to get my hands on that Norma drag. But then with the way that show ended for her I’m not sure when she would’ve gotten the costumes.

Yes she is - in fact she discusses it at length on her Patti LuPone Live (still my favorite live recording by any Broadway performer) album.

Agreed! Patti has softened and become more playful in recent years. I really love it.

That's a really good picture of Patti. I love the background,too. Seems like it suits her for some reason.
