No, he was rude to people standing there, who were doing absolutely nothing but standing and waiting. According to him, "it's not my job to be nice."
Mind you, no one was doing anything but standing around. Next to Normal is not exactly a "wild" stage door. There were no obnoxious fan girls around. It was almost entirely grown adults waiting to say a few words of congratulations to the cast.
And jordangirl, Ursula hasn't been there in a while! It's been the very friendly, pleasant, short, blonde-haired lady recently.

I saw Lin-Manuel walk by the theatre at around 5:30--- He is such a great guy !!! Didnt see him at the show, but he seems to be a fan. Believe he has seen it a few times already.
As far as Best Score--- think I will cry if "N2N" doesnt win !
And don't forget... his foot was 1 millimeter beyond, not the barricade, but a random demarcation in the barricade that nasty stage door guy decided to create.
I'm not sure what is with the staff at the Booth. They are among the most, if not THE most, unpleasant I have encountered at any theater. Of course, there are a few exceptions, but too many of the people I've seen/interacted with there are just down-right rude with no justification!
Despite that, it was an incredibly awesome show last night with so much energy from the cast and the audience.
Oh is that what the rest of the fuss was about? I guess he figured the planter hindered me from damaging anyone since I was kind of wedged in there. LOL. At least I was dry.

His lines were seemingly so random! He randomly decided to pick this little wedge in the barricade, and then had a hissy fit when my foot was beyond the line. Then he told me I was causing "a lot of problems."
Between he, Ursula, and that one man at the box office, and Lori the manager, there are an awful lot of rude people there. Thank goodness for Margaret, who is like a ray of sunshine over there.
And jordangirl, don't worry, I know you were laughing at the idiocy of the situation. I was cracking up too, as was the random stranger next to me.
This was my first experience with this guy... The other one I've encountered there is nice. He did come over and fuss at the people behind me and to the side who were against the wall...but I guess I was behind his arbitrary line of the stand of the barricade. He was definitely crazy. And on a power trip!

Haha, I was at the stage door and didn't notice that situation! Do you think Aaron didn't come out because he didn't want to deal with everyone being like, "oh, you were robbed", etc.? I felt like he was really pushing hard in that performance and giving it his all- I hope he's not too disappointed- he's amazing.

Last night was my 6th or 7th time seeing the show ( I am losing count)
BY FAR, the best that I have seen Aaron !! He was AMAZING !!!
Ugh, the purples are clashing to me. Might just be the picture, but the marquee art and the quotes have that unfortunate "too close to contrast, too far away to match" clashing. But I was always unhappy with the art, so that's not too surprising. Okay, nitpicking done!
There was an article in the local paper about Alice Ripley and Allison Janney's Tony nominations. They're both local pride in these parts. I'm rooting for Alice regardless, but the local interest aspect can always make it a bit funner. I still remember, the Dayton City Paper did confirm her casting at Second Stage months before anyone else. Too bad Susan Blackwell didn't get nominated too, it would have been a local girl hat trick.
