Here's the link to the TKTS site. Looks like it was 30% tonight, not up at all last night, 50% for both shows Sunday, and 40% for both shows Saturday.
What's at TKTS

Thanks everyone for the advice! I'm unsure if I am going to rush now cause I doubt I'll wanna get up extremely early after getting in on an 11 pm flight the following day. Maybe TKTS will be a better bet. (I didn't know there was a TKTS website, thanks adamgreer!)

When I walked past on Monday it was 50% off so looks like the site just hasn't been updated.

So, I'm months late - but better late than never to jump in on the love, yes?

About rushing - I did last Sunday...got there at 8am, was about 12th in line. I ended up with AA 106 & 107, which are the two center seats of the front row. It was AWESOME, and the 4 hour wait was pretty painless thanks to a book and people watching.

It's amazing how inconsistent the rush line is. The Sunday before you rushed, the front row for both shows was long gone by 6 AM.

Fantastic show! Loved it and of course bought the CD immediately! But even though the soundtrack is playing non stop, I'm starting to forget all the great dialogue, staging, and specific scenes. This board has definitely kept the show fresh in my mind - and made me jealous of everyone who's seen it multiple times. So does anyone know where I can find the book with the dialogue or even...a bootleg copy of the entire show? I'll pay! I'm that desperate for another fix!

Yeah, adam...I thought I'd be sitting half-way down 45th street by the time I got there, but somehow I lucked out. I'm hoping after Labor Day weekend, it calms down once school starts and the summer tourist season winds down.

I saw Next To Normal yesterday and really enjoyed it.

It definitely wasn't as depressing as I was expecting, and I very much enjoyed the underlying jokes also making it light and not as depressing.

I had some tears at the end of act 1 (somewhat because I REALLY related to it having gone through somewhat of the same experience).
And I definitely has some tears throughout the second act (especially seeing how much it affected the dad).

Overall, I give it a B++

Im heading into the city tomorrow and I was planning on getting the cheapest tickets last minute to go see the show. I just went online because I wanted to get the 36$ tickets but it says there sold out. I know thats a huge possibility that there sold out but I was wondering if those seats are put out the day of the show or if it is just like regular seats? Does anyone know how much they go for at the TKTS booth too?

The last row of the mezz (which are the $36 seats) are sold just like regular tickets, so if it says they're sold out on telecharge, then they're all gone. Your best bet, if you don't want to get in line at 3:00 am for rush tickets, is probably TKTS. Here's a link with what has been at TKTS lately:

Although, it looks like it wasn't at TKTS last Monday. It's interesting that they give the biggest discount for Sat. evening...

Semi random but here it goes...

This TRULY isn't directed at any of the aforementioned people in this thread but I just want to mention how INCREDIBLY CREEPY some fans are.

Seriously, this is actually directed at someone who I have never even met or spoken to but who is in the same Facebook network as me and who constantly pops up in my news feeds because she tags Alice/Bobby Spencer et al. in random video posts, pictures, etc. I can see her profile and it's actually really scary how obsessed she is with the show. Actually, it's not so much the show as it is the actors in it who she is set on making it look like she is friends with.

I do believe she occasionally posts on BWW though...but I'm not sure.

And she thinks she's friends with the cast members. It's just...very unhealthy to be honest.

And it's not the person who was mentioned earlier, it's someone entirely different.

I've actually come across this girl's Facebook before as she goes through phases of obsessions with shows. It's very odd and like I said unhealthy. I think some people need to realize that just because Broadway 'stars' are more accessible than film or TV stars doesn't make them your friends. You're still (truth be told) just a fan. Relax and pull yourself together because you're embarrassing yourself.

That is all I have to say. GOODNIGHT. re: 'Perfect for US': The NEXT TO NORMAL love thread!

Completely agreed...some of the fans who repeatedly post on Alice and Bobby's pages are a definitely creepy and just cross the line.

Does anyone think that the subject matter is what brings out the people who cross the line between enthusiastic fan and obsessed patron? I'm just glad that as of this point the fan base has not turned into the next generation of compusive bowlers...a while back one would have had to be cautious in admitting to being a fan of RENT, WICKED or Ms Menzel for fear of being tagged an idiot by others on the boards. Does anyone have any thoughts of when the show will recoup?

I miss this show. I need to see it again! I'm waiting for Aaron to come back, though. How has Kyle been, lately? I felt he was still finding his way when I saw him.

I think I know who you're talking about wickedrocks, and i completely agree. I'm so embarrassed for the actors whjen fans make silly videos and tag them in it.

I'm not so sure that they mind so much. They chose to open up the line of communication with FB and such. Some actors do not. But they do seem to have some of the "excessive" fans at their doors.

Just like those that end up in the Hollywood tabloids: that's a choice, a great deal of the time.

I ADORE N2N, and are great fans of the work the actors are putting out each night. I have not, and will not stage door. Just not part of the experience for me.

I try to ignore what people post on Alice's page because it makes me upset about how weird it is. Yes, she encourages it but still.

Subject change: As someone who is eagerly awaiting Aaron Tveit's return, what do people who HAVE seen Aaron think of Kyle in comparison? Most people I've talked to that loved Kyle have not seen Aaron. Personally I find Aaron's Gabe to be almost as important to the show as Alice's Diana.

I've seen both Aaron and Kyle and honestly, occasionally I completely forgot that it was Kyle onstage and not Aaron. They sound REALLY similar. There are some minute differences, and I think Aaron has done a lot more work with the character and really has thought out every move, but they're both great. Though if I had to choose one to see, it'd be Aaron.

I've seen them both. The DO sound similar and when Kyle first comes out in the white tux it almost looks like Aaron.

But I did enjoy Aaron a LITTLE more. As the pp stated, I think Aaron may have more time to grow into the role so beautifully. The one thing I missed between the two: I am drawn to watching Aaron even when he is not the focus, he is so "present". I didn't find that same thing with Kyle. I also thing Aaron is little 'creepier' as Gabe and it works a tad better for me.

I LIKED Kyle, it's not like I sat there MISSING Aaron during the performance. I liked him a lot. Those that don't have to compare him to anyone are right on the money.

"I LIKED Kyle, it's not like I sat there MISSING Aaron during the performance."

Yep, completely agree. And now that I'm thinking about it, I think the different Gabes affect Alice's performance more than anything else. Alice seems to be a lot more hesitant and unsure about Gabe with Kyle, especially in the I Dreamed a Dance number.

Both are excellent, and Kyle was a fabulous replacement. I think Aaron has thought about the role a little more, given his long association with the show. Also, Aaron also has a slightly better voice, though Kyle is no slouch in the vocal department.

I saw the show first with Aaron and then the second time with Kyle...I first thought I would miss Aaron's performance..however...Kyle was great and made the role his own.

I'm going back to the show on Sunday so I'll be sure to review then

I think there is a problem when people consider cast members of a show they are fans of to be their close, personal friends. From stage door encounters.

Bingo!!! I know that this cast is one of the friendliest casts on Broadway, but that doesn't mean that they're literally your best friends. Some fans take it way too far. Most of the people I see post on Alice's facebook are (I *think*) my age / college-aged-ish, but the creepiest that I know of is in her late '30s (said person was already brought up in this thread and I won't go on about that, I'm just sayin'). I just don't understand it.

I comment on Alice and Bobby's facebooks sometimes, but I'm not under any illusions that I'm anything more than one of their many fans. Maybe some of the people who post excessively actually do know them personally. Or maybe they're just delusional. I heard that Alice didn't come out the stage door the other night because people were ignoring her requests for no posed pictures. It's a shame that a few idiots have to ruin it for the rest of us. I love going to the stage door and having my few seconds with the performers, but it's not about that anyway. It's about what happens ONSTAGE.

Okay, rant over. Back to the show. I'm seeing it next month and I kind of hope Meghann Fahy is on. I loved Jenn's performance, but I've heard nothing but great things about Meghann.
