hey shrekster224, you don't need to be sorry at all. i'm glad you asked here on the boards instead of asking a-rip directly. that's why boards and forums were created. to help provide information to those seeking it. DO NOT feel bad. and ignore the rude comments.
I am a newbie to Next to Normal and will be going to NYC in 2 weeks. I am so excited to see the show and have a few questions. What is the lottery like? I have only ever done the rent lottery. Where are lottery seats? And how much longer is Alice Ripley going to be in the show? I have tried googling it but can't find anything. Thank you all in advance.
^ You might be out of luck because Ripely, d'arcy James, and Damiano all leave on July 7th. The lotto is hectic and the seat are most likely in the orchestra.
Does anyone know if any of the actors in N2N have vacations planned for the upcoming holiday weekend? Is there a website to check for understudies? Broadwayunderstudies.com is currently under construction.
Is there any word on who will replace Jessica Phillips as the standby for Diana?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Hm. I really liked her in SA, but as Natalie? It is intriguing enough to get me to see the tour.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Saw the show Tuesday. Hadn't been in about a year (possibly opening night). Wanted to see Alice/Jenn/Brian before the cast switch. I've wanted to see/hear Brian sing I've Been since learning the song was going to be cut in the Off-Broadway production. Loved it, but Alice really needs a break, desperately. Jonathan Groff was in the audience.
They thought they would make more money with this schedule.
This way: They are one of the only B'way shows playing Monday nights. They are one of the few B'way shows to have a Sunday NIGHT show.
I'm also guessing that they figured the largely blue haired Weds matinee demographic would not be flocking to see N2N.

I am really looking forward to re-visiting the show tomorrow night with a friend who really knows nothing about it. I haven't seen it since Arena, so it has been quite a while! (And I will definitely be returning again soon for Marin/Jason!)
Yes, I've heard that Emma Hunton will be on the tour as well. Not confirmed, obviously, but a few seperate people have told me, and I'm taking their word for it.
