ILUVTOMG - You beat me to it, but I totally agree that Lucie Arnaz should have received a nomination for THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG. What drugs was that nominating committee on that year? Boy, was I pissed off! I loved Lucie A. in that show - One of my treasured Musical Theatre memories. Tovah Feldshuh gets one for SARAVA instead - Oy.

Mark Harelik in Piazza, without a doubt

The first two to come immediately to my mind were Janine LaManna for Seussical, and Jeff McCarthy for Urinetown.

Sarah Uriarte Berry for The Light in the Piazza
But I wouldn't have wanted her to split votes with Kelli and let Sara (the other one) win even more. Haha.
But I thought Sarah was just wonderful in the show. She was nominated over O'Hara at the Drama Desks, wasn't she?

Ruby Dee and Diane Sands in A Raisin in the Sun.
IMO, Rudy Dee should've won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the 1961 movie adaptation (yes, even over Moreno for WSS).

Foster, I was JUST about to post Hugh Dancy's name. I'm surprised nobody else mentioned him.
Cannot believe that mane wasn't nominated. He should've won, as well.

Ha, I just realized that I typed "mane" in that post. His hair should've won the Tony.

Ken Jennings for the original Sweeney Todd. I still don't see how he wasn't nominated.
I also would have nominated Erin Davie and Barbra Walsh over Charlotte D'Amboisse and Rebecca Luker.

Barbara Walsh should have taken either Orfeh or Charlotte d'Amboise's slot.

Not saying she should have won, but why was Sarah Brightman not nominated for PHANTOM?
HeyMrMusic- No, she most likely wasn't nominated over O'Hara at the Drama Desks. O'Hara was most likely placed in the leading category.

I think Steve Kazee should have been nominated over Cullum, whose performance I also enjoyed.

Wanna Be A Foster, I couldn't possibly agree with you more about your comments on Hunter. I really REALLY don't understand why he wasn't nominated and didn't win for Urinetown.
I believe one day he will get his due. I hope!

Not that she should have won, but she definitely deserved a nomination... Kristin Chenoweth in the Apple Tree.
Why, hello Margaret! Yes darling, half past five. Well, everyone, simply le tout Park Avenue and la creme de Hyannis! Well, the press table's going to be awfully crowded... but if you don't mind sharing a folding chair with Harper's Bazaar... Sing? Me? Heavens no, it's Edie's day, not mine... Although people can be so insistent, and I hate to disappoint. Twist my arm, blackmail me, threaten my very life, and who knows? You might get a verse of something...

Sherie Rene Scott for Best Supporting Actress in Aida! She was the best out of the whole cast and yet she got snubbed from what could have been a Tony win for her...I still think Aida should have been nominated for Best Musical, if it's going to win 4 Tony Awards, it could have at least been nominated for Best Musical..
