hugh jackman!? wow, i thought that he was so good!!!!!! wow!
What? How can you not get Hugh Jackman??? He was amazing in BFO. Along with Oklahoma. The man has talent. And lots of it.
Patti LuPone, Ethel Merman, and Carol Channing are people to not get. I don't see how people can listen to them sing.
oooh, I love Patti LuPone in Evita. LOVE her.

Thank you muchly, secret. I will make good use of the magenta, but in the meantime I'm using baby blue.

sarah brightman - she just doesn't do it for me
Idina Menzel, I know she has a good voice but sometimes it sounds like she is yelling.

I'll borrow the sienna. I'm drawing a pretty forest picture with baby blue skies, sienna trees and magenta flowers.
Should there have been two questions asked?
Performers who you get but don't like?
Performers who you don't get AND don't like?
Please pass the cornflower crayon.

DangNabbit, joeyjoe - you beat me to it! I don't get those folks either, not one bit, Possums!
I love Harvey Fierstein but did he deserve the Tony award? I didn't get that.
I'm now picturing Joeyjoe and Redhot at their separate computers in the same room, typing furiously...
Possum - it doesn't work quite that way - I'm typing from work, and sometimes he's at home at the same time...but it IS a darling picture, isn't it!LOL......
our apartment isn't big enough for 2 computers... :)
Damn, boys. I was enjoying that little domestic vision.
Miriam - I was surprised to see your comment about Ethel Merman. I never had the opportunity to see her live, but I recently watched the film version of Call Me Madam and I was shocked at how flat her performance was. She had one smile permanently glued to her face and she was completely lacking in charisma. It made me wonder if it was her or the lack of direction.
