Yes, I have seen those posts. I am talking about the general public, they are the people who are going to see the show and keep it open. BWW alone can't keep a show running you need more than just us.

oh I know, I'm just sayin' felicia's DEF not unpopular :) haha, she's just pretty unknown to the public at large. But I mean come on, is anyone REALLY gonna come to the show just to see adrianne? I just dont see it. Now what they SHOULD be doing is getting someone reallly famous instead of semi-kinda-known reality show stars who probably wont attract more than like.. a few people at most

Since when are Haylie Duff and Diana DeGarmo "famous"?

Usher is famous. Haylie and Diana are not well known to anyone outside of the tween set.

Besides, why is everyone convinced that Adrienne is stunt casting? Did it ever occur to you that she gave a legitimate audition? Much as I love this girl (and have ever since she was on ANTM), she is NOT a name. No name, no stunt casting.

Just because media whores know who you are does NOT mean that the majority of America does. Most Americans can't name the vice president.

Sidenote: I saw the show the first time just for her and then returned to see her again. I'd never see it again if she's not in it.

If ANYONE in this show has box-office draw, it's Stephen Lynch. And his draw is limited. Amy, and especially Tina, are NOT box-office draws. Most of the publc doesn't know who these people are. The thing most people know form this show is the title.

If ANYONE in this show has box-office draw, it's Stephen Lynch. And his draw is limited. Amy, and especially Tina, are NOT box-office draws. Most of the publc doesn't know who these people are. The thing most people know form this show is the title.

well, no, not for the common public, but for people who know broadway I'm prettty sure they are :) I mean obviously a show needs more of a draw than JUST us broadway-obsessed, but its a start. And I can guarantee you I would have gone to see the show JUST for amy. Because I will see anything amy is. that's what I mean by box-office draw.

But no, I totally know that they are by no means general public box office draws. I just meant, they ARE getting SOME people to come, who wouldn't necasserily want to see a show like this exept that they're in it

Stephen on the other hand IS a bit of a draw. Not a huuuge huge one, but uh, I think he's more popular than even I thought (which is awesome by the way hehe)



And for the record, I was mainly joking about the damanding that felicia stay in. Haha. I just meant I really REALLY dont want her to leave

the VAST, cavernous majority of the people who buy broadway tickets are TOURIST, who have never heard of Amy Spanger, or Felicia Finnley, or Tina Maddigan (is that the right name?) soit doesn matter if someone is a box office draw to theatre people, cause theatre people don't make up that many theatre tickets

Even if you mean Broadway draw, Amy might have some drwa, but Tina really has NO draw. She has been inone show prior to this, Mamma Mia!. She isn't well known.

ok ok, you have a point :) but I mean seriously, most shows DONT have any ACTUAL general public draw. Heck, even idina menzel isn't a big draw at all to the general public! Only when a BIG mainstream celeb is in a show will it have any real draw. And that doesnt happen all that often, does it? So I just mean, to get big names at least in the broadway world is a fairly decent draw, no?

and yeah, for the record I did def mean amy more than tina. It just seems like tina's gotten kinda more popular, at least around here hahha

and, on another topic, I agree, Haylie isn't really stunt casting, cause she's not THAT big, haha. However, I disagree about Diana. I must say, I truly believe that any american idol finalist is gonna be well known to the public at large. Will people come to SEE them because they love them so much?? that kinda depends on who it is.. diana, prob not sooo much, but some. But I can almost guarantee 75% or more (prob more) of the general public are gonna know who you're talking about if you ask them if they know Diana Degarmo, or even more so Carrie Underwood or Katherine Mcphee. TONS of people watch American Idol. Just sayin'.. :)

Usher is a Grammy Award winning-chart topping superstar, but Haylie and Diana ARE famous. As they say in Chicago "I want to be a celebrity, that means somebody everyone knows" these 2 girls are famous. Are they stars? probably not. I didn't see Diana or Haylie in Hairspray, but they seem to boost the box office sales somehow.

You are correct, I do feel a little bad about it, but if she wants to do theatre she should really start as a chorus girl first, becuase she is unknown, it crossed my mind that Adrieanne might read this , since she is not a star (if i were talking about Sarah Brightman, Glenn Close or Brooke Shields, I know they would never read BWW), but I just feel that TWS needs someone respected in the business to boost their sales, and she doesn;t have that yet. Constantine at least is admired for his singing and has a theatre background. And he was on a top-rated show that made him insanily popular.
