Thank you SOO MUCH for tellig me about the "Astonishing" sheet music!!
No problem! it was there way before the Cd came out! I forgot to tell people! I suck...lol

Wow, didn't know they released Astonishing. I hope they release the vocal score but since it closed so early, I'm thinking they might not want to make the investment of releasing it to the mass market.
Damn, I really should of posted that! I've had it for 2 months now! lol I love Music Notes cuz you can print the music right then, and change the key if you must! but it's effing expensive for just one song!

Now that I think about it, they both have very good reasons of why they should be released...they both have BEAUTIFUL scores(imo), PIAZZA was nom. for Best Musical, ec. ect. ect.
anyone care to add to the list?
Yeah, they really have to release this. If they don't, I may go insane for lack of "Small Umbrella In The Rain" sheet music.
Bump, since someone posted about the Piazza sheet music now...:)
cherry lane told me LW was being released some time this summer!
I NEED to have the music for "Some Things are Meant to Be". It's SUCH a pretty song.
*waves* freeadmission!! HI!!! It's ElphieDefiesGravit(y) from PC and S-F!!!
Have you posted here before?
Oookay, back on topic.
I REALLY hope they release a vocal book for LW, because I personally love the music and would buy the book in a second!

"The Light in the Piazza"
(Clara)
I don't see a miracle shining from the sky
I'm no good at statues and stories
I try
That's not what I think about
That's not what I see
I know what the sunlight can be
The light, the light in the piazza
Tiny sweet
And then it grows
And then it fills the air
Who knows what you call it?
I don't care
Out of somewhere I have something I have never had
And sad is happy
That's all I see
The light in the piazza
The light in the piazza
It's rushing up
It's pouring out
It's flying through the air
All through the air
Who knows what you call it?
But it's there
It is there
All I see is
All I want is tearing from inside
I see it
Now I see it everywhere
It's everywhere
It's everything and everywhere
Fabrizio
The light in the piazza
My love

Obviously this show and its score are being treated as a major sort of event by the not-for-profit sector, and with R&H behind the grandson, I assume it will be out by the end of the year.
Along with the libretto, which is being given its own publication by Theatre Communications Group (a la Caroline, or Change). I'm so glad that publishers are starting to recognize the real want for published librettos. In the past couple of years, we've seen Caroline published on its own, then an anthology with Floyd Collins, Rent, The Wild Party (LaChiusa), and Parade. Publishers are also starting to put out new editions of Sondheim librettos, Cabaret, etc.

I'm so glad this show extended --> now I (can) see it!

gwalke4--THANK YOU!!! I was hoping someone would post them! :)
I seriously hope the vocal score from Little Women is released. I need to have music for so many of the songs in that show, especially Marmee's numbers, "Here Alone" and "Days of Plenty." Both are amazing songs and I can't help but yearn to play them on the piano everytime I listen to the cast recording.
Here's hoping!
