It was too desperate to recreate the original video. It didn't work with the camera quality and some of the bad, awkward angles. And idk about the girl who's the Leading Player. Her voice sounded a little weak and tired in Magic to Do.

^I had some of the same feelings. The original they made for the Bway company last year was pure magic. Also, Sasha Allen's voice sounds weird. I think we all have gotten used to Patina's and Ciara's.
Sasha's voice during "Simple Joys" KILLS, imo. I thought it was brilliant. Also, audio I've hear...elsewhere..., she is simply stunning.
The Lucie Arnaz footage left me cold. Her makeup is awful and just in those few seconds I can sense what her "performance" probably is.
Sabrina Harper looks stunning in the few seconds we see her as Fastrada. I would LOVE to see this tour, but it's not stopping in Philly. The closest stop would likely be Hartford.

Callan Bergmann looks weird as Lucas- No where near as cute as Erik and looks goofy. But that's just from his photos on Instagram and This Video.
I wonder if this is the official tour promo video or one made by the theatre they are at. This video may have been shot during performance. I know that at least part of the Promo for the Broadway Production was filmed without an audience. This promo just doesn't have the same crispy flow and look that the Broadway one had.
Can someone message me a link to Sasha's audios? Looked all over and can't find anything. Thanks. :P
I liked the video, I'm sure Sasha is incredible.
You guys are too critical. It looks fine. The cast sounds great.

A lot of you sound like your fourteen. The cast looks fantastic! I actually prefer B-roll from an actual performance vs. a pro shot studio look. It gives the production a fresh sense and quality.
I think everyone looks and sounds great. Comparing some cheaply shot B-roll with the slickly produced commercials for the orig production is just silly. I'm looking forward to catching the tour in LA in October. So pleased that we'll get to see Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin in LA, too.

Sasha sings her face off. But she is wrong for the LP. She is a little girl on stage. Nothing intriguing or mysterious about her. Patina worked because she is A WOMAN. And offered something mysterious.

Admittedly, I posted my first comment after watching the video once and made a rushed judgment. I'm actually starting to really dig it!
troynow, Sasha is three years older than Patina.
I wish the show's website listed the tour's cast/roles.

Hey biological age has nothing to do with how you appear. You are either feel like a girl or a woman. Its a presence and she looks like a little girl not a woman. Patina looks like a woman. Thats ALL!
Sing it, Sasha!

The production looks fine. The cheaply shot b-roll does make it look like some of the magic was lost. IMO, I think Sasha needs to be more dark/creepy, and I totally understand where troynow is coming from. IMO, for a LP to work, s/he has to totally own it. She can't slack off one bit. The LP should look/feel like s/he's been through some things, and is sort of bitter, yet powerful, and seductive, and such, IMO.
It looks fine to me. Looking forward to seeing the tour in December.
I think it looks great. I agree with ACL2006, Sabrina looks amazing in the few seconds we see her. Right now with MJT as Pippin, this cast is probably as strong if not stronger than the Broadway cast, though Sasha sounds a little rushed in her singing. I'm sure she'll settle into it just fine.
