Wow yay! Will is a good singer!! Looks like a great movie..can't wait to see it.
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had...
Where?
On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.
It was about time. The trailer looks good ! But I was surprised that it is produced by Sony as well. I mean how can the same studio do a GREAT marketing job for RENT but a piss-poor job for The Producers. Even the site is awfully poor, though I saw that it is the UK one. Probably the U.S site will be a bit better
Sony must have foreign distribution on the film. Its a Columbia Pictures release, which is one of the worst studios in terms of marketing their late year (i.e "Oscar hopeful) pictures.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
ProducersFan- there are a few (very brief) shots of Roger. One towards the beginning, where he slaps Gary, and one towards the end on the "spring" in "springtime."
Not that I took special note of that, or anything...
Well, he DOES have a big part on the trailer for marketing reasons. Gary Beach has a much bigger role and is waaaaay more talented and you can only get a glimpse of him on the trailer !
The interesting marketing bit is the fact that the musical aspect is very much downplayed - it looks more like a "comedy with music" than a full-fledged musical comedy.
I love it all except for one thing - the annoying voice-over.
