Anyone know when the Public will announce next season? Any inside scoop on what could be included?

They're doing "For Colored Girls" - it's inclusive (Black, Latinx, Asian women). Rehearsals start in September.

Soft Power? Or a different one?

There were unsubstantiated reports that The Visitor (by Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey, directed by Daniel Sullivan, potentially starring David Hyde Pierce and Ari'el Satchel) will premiere at the Public next spring.

They posted an ECC for Soft Power. 

First Rehearsal: 8/27/19
1st Performance: 9/24/19
Opening: TBD
Close: 11/03/19
Poss Ext: 12/8/19

Not true. Last year, they announced at the beginning of June.

Not true. Last year, they announced at the beginning of June."

You're correct. And as my membership is due for renewal, I called to ask about this. No exact date but "historically we have announced in June. So I would anticipate that to be true this year."

It looks like Linda Edmond, Jonathan Hadary, and Estelle Parsons will be leading Bright Room. I’d like it, but I’m typing on my phone. They are listed in small print on the production info page on the Public’s website. Thrilled to see Estelle Parsons again.

Question about rush TodayTix: does anyone actually manage to get mobile rush tickets given that anytime I tried to get them, the message was "all tickets are being held". How difficult is it to get a Public theater mobile rush ticket? Is there some sort of trick other than trying to get it at 10:00 am on the dot?

It's very difficult, but possible. You need to get there right on the dot and have a fast finger. Doing that has earned me a few tough rush tickets, although far more frequently I get the "all tickets are being held" message immediately once they go on sale.
