I saw the show last weekend in Buffalo and the production is top-notch and the cast is amazing. The audience was so well-behaved I was quite shocked. Adam and Anthony are in amazing voice and Anthony held a note in La Vie Boheme that made the audience scream. Adam looks amazing and his voice is so powerful. He and Lexi Lawson make a volcanic Roger and Mimi. I will admit at times Anthony looked a little like he was going through the motions and he really is starting to look too old to play a young bohemian (thats just an observation, not being mean), but all in all he was exceptional.
I find it funny that it does seem like people who are not versed in the story have a hard time following it to begin with. Most people dont get all of the first act when they first see RENT. This has been a problem every time I have seen it with newbies.
I will say that the diction of the cast is exceptional and you can understand every word clearly.
All in all, a stellar production worth checking out. Also, it is my understanding that there is very little to no stage dooring going on.

"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
All I can say is, Thank goodness I'm seeing it next week in NJ. I'm seeing it because I never got to see it on Broadway.
