I also had a WTF reaction...this season is a barrage of concerts and revues rather than new musicals. At this point, the only things worth seeing (for the most part) are the revivals...

Saigon has always been set to close in January. I thought the Broadway was undergoing renovations in between that and King Kong next fall. Seriously, what the hell is this?

It's seriously heartbreaking that there are only 6 new musicals opening this entire season.

This "show" had a tour stop in Buffalo this past spring. Let's just say they were basically giving tickets away...I can't imagine this sells well.

That was my first thought. Who is the audience for this? How is it going to fill the Broadway?

They should just sell the orchestra level for this. Can't imagine this getting even half of the Broadway's capacity (1,800).

We didn’t know all the newmusicals that came in last season at this time last year. I’m sure more will come, especially with only one real contender for Best Musical at this point.

At this point, The Band’s Visit is going to win Best Musical with 100% of the vote.

I know it was a limited run, but so was Les Miz, and looked how that went? Just saying the fact that it didn't even extend a little is a bit sad for it. Guess no one wanted a cheap revival.
