Tammy Faye hasn’t even closed yet. Yikes."
Yikes? To that? While this has certainly discussed to death in another thread and didn't need a thread of its own, Tammy Faye's closure has been announced, and it is closing in 16 days. It hardly seems like speculating about what is next for a theatre that will be available in just over two weeks deserves a "yikes."

Agree! Tammy Faye is virtually over even though the physical production closes in 16 days so it's fine to speculate.
I believe the same user that announced Tammy's closing date said The Palace has a new tenant but it's not Ragtime
Frankly, given the struggles of both Tammy Faye and MHE, I would imagine that at least some investors have been given pause about transferring a costly show with no big names and a title that is only moderately familiar to a general audience.

Yes, this............ especially in a season that's already full of buzzworthy revivals all competing for awards, attention and dollars.
Partly the reason why Cats:the Jellicle Ball put any transfer plans on 'paws' (see what i did there??!!?)
Not every show City Center produces needs a transfer.
And, yes, The Palace’s 1,600+ seats would be a massive challenge to fill for a title and cast with minimal familiarity outside of theater nerd world. (Not to mention minimal sets - that stage is cavernous.)
