Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story - Official Trailer
 Mar 16 2025, 05:23:53 PM

Enjoyed the doc, however, i just wish they would not have cut away from 'now' Liza sitting in the chair singing "And the World Goes 'Round" to the younger Liza footage of the same song so quickly at the end.  Maybe not as powerful as she once was, there was still SO MUCH MAGIC in her newer performance, and she absolutely SHINES  Those too few lines made me tear up with joy...... they should have let her finish

Not outside the theater, but Oh, Mary! used to have a fun Christmas Carol display that was half burnt in the basement when they first opened.  It's now been replaced with the walk-in giant cut out that you can stand in and have your photo taken, saying'''......... is at Oh, Mary!" like LuPone did here

AUDRA GYPSY Reviews
 Feb 8 2025, 05:29:10 PM

Finally got around to seeing this one --- HUGE fan of both Audra and Danny (to be clear,  I'm regular size, just really admire both of their work.....)

Good performances, especially from Joy Woods.  Best book ever written, and one of the best overtures you can ever hear live.  Decent sets.  However, the show as a whole really is a major disappointment.  The sum of its parts really don't add up to what you'd expect, and count me in as one that&#

Most of the comments and those of his guests(I believe they were Will Swenson and Andrew Kober), the show in question was Chess, although Ramin didn't confirm one way or the other. I think it's

A WONDERFUL WORLD To Close on February 23, 2025
 Jan 25 2025, 08:57:09 PM

i wonder if Studio 54 might be a good fit for Cats: the Jellicle Ball

should be fairly easy to re-configure the floor seats to a runway/thrust.

Not this season, but maybe summer/early fall?

OH, MARY! Reviews
 Jan 19 2025, 11:08:48 PM

I was there…..a woman a few seats down from me (3rd row center…in the middle of the row) got up and climbed over everyone to leave shortly after Cole started singing American Pie. Cole stopped mid song, paused for a beat, and looked at her and said “what…. Too sad? You got this far, but hey, American Pie is is just too much???!!!?”
The place went NUTS

Cole was on fire the entire show, and gave an extraordinary performance, as did the enti

The west of WHAT????!!!!??

Tomorrow, we to original icons of the American Theatre before they head West. Cole Escola, Conrad Ricamora,     James Scully, and Peter Smith—you’re the best day we’ve ever had.

as far as live productions, i've seen the last 4 mentioned (as well as Linda Lavin and Betty Buckley at Papermill), and LuPone was by far the most thrilling for me
