Amazing that even though it closed, the world is still spinning on its axis & life goes on.

I think it's really rude to be in here mocking Rent & its fans right now. We don't give a **** if you hate Rent. don't come in these threads then, seriously. If it was your favorite show, I don't think you would appreciate that.

SirNotAppearing, uh...yeah. There's this thing, it's called the inappropriate and disturbing and offensive line; Congratulations, you just crossed it!
I did not hate the show . I just question the mass hysteria over it closing. It had a tremendous run . I do not think anyone ever imagined it would last this long. More power to it & I am sorry Larson did not live to see it & write more scores.
People have mocked shows I have liked. Many shows I liked closed after long or short runs & I move on. I do not beat my breast & walk around in sack cloth & ashes over it. I do not go into attacking people over it.
Sorry if I offended any sensibilities but I should realize people on this board have thin skins about many things.

Will there be candle-lit tributes like they did when Idina broke her rib at Wicked?
I suppose the red track suit won't be sported at this occasion.
No one in this thread is mocking the show. Just the bizarre behavior of its more ardent fans.

Speaking of Idina, does anyone know if she was there tonight?
I just think some of the die-hard fans truly thought that the show was invincible and would never close. It'll probably be worse than this when Wicked closes in 10-20 years.

No, we don't. Because no one has given even the slightest review yet. That makes Trekkie2 sad.

According to the pictures of the red carpet on Gettyimages, it looks like Idina, Taye, and Adam were not there.
There are pictures of Michael Grief, Anthony, Wilson, Fredi, Daphne, Jesse, Kendra Kassebaum, Aaron Tveit, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Christy Carlson Romano, Penn Badgley and Blake Lively, Jai Rodriguez, Antonique Smith, Amy Spanger, Luther Creek, and some others.

I don't have a source to give anyone, so this will probably not go believed. But from what I heard Anthony will of course be there, Adam gave his ticket away, Idina did not go.

Sorry, TDH. I'm tired, and the air conditioning in my building is being fixed so I'm hot and bothered.

A friend of mine who won lotto told me that Adam, Idina and Taye were not there. The mezzanine had a section for past cast members, and there was constant sobbing from Contact on.

that's really sad that gossip girl people were there and Adam & Idina weren't.
ew gossip girl. why are they even there? ugh.
Adam gave his ticket away to a fan. Idina apparently couldn't handle the situation.
Because when I see the recording I want to see the OBC not part of it.
Idina couldn't handle it? That's kind of pathetic.

Wait...like "couldn't handle it" as in too emotional for her or "couldn't handle it" as in she's too big a star to attend now?
I'm not trying to be rude, I just didn't know if you were trying to imply something or not...
