While you're consulting dictionaries, please look up the difference between "principal" and "principle", as I don't think Will Swenson was ever in "The Thing", let alone as a principal.
And, yeah, negativity from theatre goers doesn't equate to revenue. Too bad for him, I guess?
Matthew Murray did a nice tweetstorm about this. Unfortunately, he didn't chain these together, so you'll have to look at his main profile page, but they should still be easy to find.
i am confused. did a poster using a fake screenname ---- margo ---- just criticize someone else for using a fake screennanme and not their real name. that makes no sense

Why does the idea that somewhere on the internet, there is a place where a minority of people can say bitchy things, sometimes about them, bother them so much?"
I'm reminded that Lea Salonga insisted that preview discussions should be banned or something from evil chat boards like this, during the Allegiance previews, yet all the creative criticisms in the preview thread were echoed in the reviews. That doesn't always happen, but ignoring or attacking the very fans who make the effort to approach the art and share their experienced opinions (e.g. Whizzer) is shortsighted at best.
I'm of the opinion that smart performers should just ignore discussion boards anyway because their skins will never be thick enough for criticisms given by audience members (some are warranted, others not, but they probably read all the same to those who are emotionally vested). But the producers and creative teams should check out where the buzz is.

It doesn't have to make sense because something something abusive.
I'm here to comment on performances I've seen, or why I have chosen not to spend my money on performances that other people are putting up in good faith.

sorry but my biggest pet peeve is hypocrisy. you cant rip into another poster because they choose not to use their real full name unless YOU are already using your own real full name. that is a double standard. it is hypocritcal. no patience for it. so you lay off me
I like Matthew Murray's stance on all of this and want to go where he's at...if only the ATC format didn't give me hives. Can we start our own message board? BroadwaySnark.com? Who's in?
