anyone that is going tonight please review on the show..especially how Kyle is!
I want to hear about the response that Alice gets, as well.
Jordangirl is going tonight, and no doubt she'll report back

I'm very interested to see how the dynamics change in the relationships on stage.
If I wanted to rush for tomm.'s matinee, what time should I get there? I know this has been discussed to death, but figured I could ask. Like 9am?
Tonight's performance will be very interesting as there will be an understudy on for Diana, too. I don't think she's gone on yet, so it will be both her and Kyle's debuts. Updated On: 6/9/09 at 05:19 PM
Woah..Jessica Phillips is going on for Diana tonight?!!
Someone please review!
and BTW Alice deserves the break!
What?! That makes NO SENSE! She's had a day to rest, and she only has one show today? Lame.

she's been doing the show 8 times a week for 6 weeks.
why don't you **** off.
shes been performing non stop since Arena Stage..give her a break..and She WON the tony..she deserves a break (sunday, monday, tuesday)
This is lame.
Any word on wether she'll be in tomorrow?
I'm flying in from Chicago... and I really am only looking to see Alice Ripley... any inside scoop?

I have no doubt that Alice deserves the break, as it's most definitely been a very emotional weekend for her and that role would take its toll on anyone. But to be out the first show back after winning the Tony, PLUS it's Kyle's first show? That just seems... weird to me, I don't know. Oh well.
Break a leg, Kyle and Jessica!
I hope that she doesn't make a habit out of this. I'm going in two weeks.
She knows that whenever she returns she will get the adulation. She does not need to perform in the first post-Tony show. Plus, she might need to grieve the loss of Aaron. He was a big part of her winning. She clearly is an emotional person and might need a few days to adjust.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh, here we go. She takes off one night and it's the end of the freaking world.

Ok, lets say it together. ALICE RIPLEY IS NOT DONNA MURPHY. Calm the **** down people. She gets a day off every once in a while.
It's not the end of the world. People spend a lot of money to see performers, it's appropriate to be disappointed when they "take a night off." Even if it is a justifiable reason... the disappointment is still appropriate.
And she DID get a day off. It's called... her scheduled day off.

Plus, to be perfectly honest, she just won a Tony for the role and might want Kyle to "cut his teeth" with the understudy. She might not want the pressure of helping or prompting him on his first night. Let him break in without her. Makes sense to me.
I totally take off at my job when there are new people. Totally. It makes total sense.

OMG the sense of entitlement some of you have is pathetic.
Well KJ, we all cant be perfect like you. I hope she is there when you go and you get your money's worth of Alice. Enjoy!
It's amazing how quickly it turns to a personal attack.

OMG shut the **** you whiney, self righteous, entitled prick.
maybe she doesn't ****ing feel well. DO YOU EVER TAKE OFF WORK WHEN YOU DON'T FEEL WELL? Maybe it was a scheduled day off. MAYBE THE PRODUCERS WANTED HER TO TAKE THE DAY OFF. there could be a thousand different reasons that she's taking the day off.
god damn you people are so self involved.
