There’s already a multi-page thread discussing the series debut, it’s episodes and it’s cancellation.
Next time please do a search before posting.

This thread was specific to the cancellation of the show not general info about the show itself.

It is the same thing, and if you really need to start another thread do it in the OFF TOPIC category considering a television show has zero to do with Broadway.

So many delightful people here! Good grief. This isn't another seating/pricing thread, it's a one-time discussion about a TV show cancellation. Yes, it's ideal to search for the original Rise thread, but I will never understand why people here get so angry and rude about thread subjects.

If you think that this particular show has zero to do with Broadway, you are being willfully ignorant.

First of all, your post was not about the topic of the thread. Namely, Rise cancelled. (BradyFosse 123 posted something that was off the thread topic as well.)
Second, obviously I disagree with both of you. It was intended to be a specific topic. Sorry you both were unable to see it in such away.
BTW, how many Ben Platt threads were going on at the same time. I counted 3 on the first page alone at one point. They weren't all redundant.
Anyway I hope you all have a great evening.

There have been SEVERAL threads about Hello Dolly that all could have just been replies in the main thread, but suddenly there can’t be two threads about a theater focused TV show.
You people are funny.

And how many on Dear Evan Hansen? I cant count that high!

Posted: 5/14/18 at 8:51pmAs long as it is within the guidelines how about everyone posts what they want, where they want. If someone gets this upset over a broadway message board thread then they need something bigger to worry about.

Who the hell do you think you are? You've been on here for less than a year and you have the audacity to try to boss people around, telling them what and where to post? Seriously, you need to get a grip.

Agrees - I really don't understand why people on this chat board are so rude. I have seen multiple threads about topics..what is the big deal?

Because some people are incapable of simply avoiding things they're uninterested in or don't care for. They are compelled to dive in and stir the pot, instead of just moving on to something they are actually interested in.

Head-up, kiddies. NBC cancelled RISE. It is over. Done. No other network picked it up to continue. Done.
Until its removed, its first and only season is available to stream/watch online.
Time to move on and stop adding the same nonsense over and over and over again.
Let's find another topic to rip into. This one is done.

If YOU are done with it, stop opening the thread. If others want to talk about it, so what????

Imagine having this big of a superiority complex on an internet forum lol
OT: This show was never going to get a second season, but at least it ventured into "so bad it was good" territory.

Sweets, only the first 2 postings talk about RISE. All the rest are about message board policing and starting another thread on the same topic, etc. NOTHING about RISE is being mentioned, hence my reference to the endless nonsense about nothing:

I'm having a pre-show lite lunch at Gallagher's (on W. 52nd Street) with 2 friends before their 2pm matinee performances today. If you care to join us, send me a DM. You're amusing me today. My treat.

This thread is absolutely hilarious. The pettiness on these boards is just something else sometimes.

for theater geeks only. otherwise you won't be able to see any truth in the writing and set ups. They just aren't believable. the last episode that aired was a nice homage to spring awakening's beautiful score and did give across the feeling that you get when you see great theater, but still really unbelievable in the way it all happens. It's very hard to make theater the theater world work on camera. Jeffery Seller should stick to theater, he doesn't understand television. Mike Leigh's Topsy Turvy is one of the great examples of how to make theater on film work.
