I like the first few tracks that I've heard...  She seems to just be doing phone interviews this go-round which probably means we're not going to get a live singing appearance but I'll still hope for one.

Her team has confirmed that there won't be any tv appearances for the promotion of the new album.  If you read her autobiography, she's pretty clear that performing in concert again, is the last thing that she wants to do.  And, she's 83 years old.  Enjoying her life and her family is her #1 priority.  As well it should be.  :)

Due to an obvious amount of technical sweetening done on the new recordings, don’t expect to see/hear her perform live ever again. In the studio and with fantastic post work done on the recordings, she’s able to give us new material at age 83. Her voice, sadly, isn’t in top form anymore.

She actually just recently said she has been thinking about performing live again. In that same interview though, she asks herself why she would do that.

I'm still hoping we get Roz Focker back.

I'm just glad I took my mother to see her at Barclays in what, 2016? I'd always wanted to take her to see Barbra but she would never spend that type of money on herself.

It was 2017.  We were there the night the Clintons attended.  My favorite memory of something other than Barbra was my husband saying he had never seen that many walkers and wheelchairs in a concert ever.

Letter to My 13-Year-Old Self with Laufey happened to come on in the car when I was listening to Spotify. I said this sure sounds like Barbra. Wait. It is Barbra!  It was so much fun to get a new song without knowing that she had an album coming out. I am really looking forward to it. I am very curious to hear her Fragile duet with Sting.

As far as concert memories go, I attended the MSG event in 2006 when a heckler got under her skin and she told him to STFU and yelled give him his money back. How could you ever forget something like that?

I remember that.  That heckler was an idiot.  What gives him the right to do that, when everyone else was listening, paying attention and being respectful.  Unfortunately, there's always one in every crowd.

I had the fabulous luck and privilege of seeing her at the Garden and Barclays. I’ve only fallen in love with her more since reading her book. Would love to see her one last time.

From what i have heard so far in regards to the new album, she is singing in a very comfortable range, and she sounds glorious in this range...the songs are very easy listening songs which are not really songs that move me, like her selection of songs she used to be able to belt...but that being said it is fabulous to have new music from Babs non the less...

I really enjoyed this new album. The material has been carefully chosen so that Barbra doesn't have to go through any vocal gymnastics...and that's just fine. I don't think there's a bad track on the whole album and i've listened to it completely four or five times now.

I was really curious to hear her with Dylan...and I think they work very well together. After hearing the three tracks that were released prior to the actual June 27th release date, I had to jump right to the Dylan track to see how their duet, "The Very Thought of You," played...and they hit just the right balance with this number. That's something I think goes for all of the tracks. It's a very listenable, mellow album. It's all music and no bits of dialogue thrown in as was the case with a few of her earlier duet albums.

"Letter to my 13 Year Old Self" is, for me, the most poignant song on the album. She performs it with Laufey, who wrote the song. I'm not a huge Sam Smith fan - haven't experienced enough of his music - but "To Lose You Again" is an unexpectedly melancholy number that, if there's got to be one sad song on this album, this is it...and it completely works.

I've never seen Barbra in concert, but I have all of the videos and recordings of her released concerts. I did have the opportunity to work with her in 1997 around the time she was working on her HIGHER GROUND album (the one with "Tell Him" - the duet with Celine Dion). Barbra was exceptionally nice on each of the times I interacted with her at the Malibu home. There were some nice conversations and chitchat that I'll always remember; a definite highlight of my working career, of course!
