Who will be there tonight? I will be, and cannot wait!
Apparently the production will include a brand new Sondheim song written for the show. Very exciting.

I can't wait to see what songs they've included.
Me either. I assume the Playbill won't include a song-list yet.

It will include a song list, but not who sings what. There's also a note that says the songs are subject to change. It's all coming together!
Ahh, interesting! According to Playbill.com, they are in "developmental previews."
I'll be there...and I'm so excited!! Barbara Cook back on the Broadway stage!!
Seeing it Saturday. Can't wait.
I hope all those who see early preview will remember to be kind. Those who were lucky enough to see early performances of Lapine and Sondheim's Sunday in the Park at Playwrights Horizons saw a very exciting but lesser show than what ultimately opened and then arrived on Broadway.
The second act barely worked at all. It was late in the process that Sondheim added BOTH "Children and Art" and "Move On." Imagine what those first previewers thought of the second act without those two songs.
So be wary of making premature negative pronouncements you might later regret.
There was no second act until late into the run
This article says Barbara Cook will be performing "In Buddy's Eyes," "Loving You," and "Send in the Clowns." Was hoping they would give the first two to other people since we have heard Cook perform them so many times. Still, I'm sure she'll bring a fresh interpretation to them and do the wonderful job she always does. I'm really curious to see what people think of this.
Diva Talk: Barbara Cook
I'll also be there tonight, and I plan on going after it opens to see any changes/developments.
This is the show I am most excited about this season; Sondheim and Lapine working together on Broadway again!
I'll be there, too! Can't wait!
I already have tickets for when the show is frozen already (the weekend before it opens), but I'm excited to hear what people think about it tonight!

I'll be there tonight too, and I sincerely hope the red carpet is rolled out for Barbara Cook's return to Broadway!
I'll be there! Very, very excited. I hope to catch it again after they officially open as well!
Roundabout has a TV commercial for the show, and some audio samples.

If those are really the orchestrations for the show, I don't know how I feel about them.

I don't like that jazzy version of "You Could Drive a Person Crazy". It makes me miss the upbeat version in Company. Hopefully, other songs will be better.
I like it so far! Clever use of the set and screens. There are some very funny moments. Cast is quite good.
can someone who went post who sang what?
^^^ I completely second that request. I dying to know how Leslie Kritzer is used!
Kritzer's only real individual feature is the A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC cut song "My Husband The Pig," which is part of a sequence of other numbers that leads into her and the other women singing "Every Day A Little Death."
She has a few other featured parts, including the Mary Flynn track in "Opening Doors" and the Sara Jane Moore track in "The Gun Song," but that's it.
As is, she nails everything they've given her, but she absolutely deserves her own individual solo number.
I just got a text from someone saying it was horrible.
I REALLY hope his opinion is in the minority.
It was very good! A well done revue. It needs to be shortened. The first number I would cut is Vanessa's Ah, But Underneath, but I doubt she would be happy about that. Act 2 is just too long right now. But they have a full month to work out the kinks. Act 2 did have some powerful moments involving his mother.
The song selection was pretty good, but poor Pacific Overtures is only used as the entreacte.
Orchestrations aren't great, but they are what you would expect from a revue. Loved the revolving screens.
On my phone, post more later.
