Tomorrow is June 26, which means one thing: BROADWAY IS OFFICIALLY COMING BACK!!!!! And what better way to kick things off than with a quick remounting of Springsteen on Broadway, now thru September 4th. You could call it an Eighth Avenue freeze-out... wink wink!
"Based on his worldwide best-selling autobiography 'Born to Run,' Springsteen on Broadway is a unique evening with Bruce, his guitar, a piano, and his very personal stories."

I'm interested in location as well.
I would bet it is probably in either center of Balcony or upper corners in the Mezz.

Sorry you can't make it. If I can think of someone. I'll holler.
Since this is the first Broadway theater reopening, are masks required? Curious to hear how things go tonight in regards to social distancing, bathroom lines, etc.

Masks were required. Attendees had to show vax card or negative covid test. There was social distancing regarding seating. The show was 2 1/2 hours, no intermission. Didn't notice re: bathroom lines.
No, ACL2006. Email from Jujam says vaxxed folks can wear or not wear. Non-vaxxed must show proof of negative test no older than 72 hrs.
"Vaccinated guests are invited to wear or not wear a mask as is most comfortable for them. Guests under the age of 16 who are not vaccinated, as well as those who are not vaccinated due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief must properly wear a mask at all times while inside the building except while eating or drinking when seated."
How they'll enforce that once yr inside, don't know.

For anyone going tonight…are you getting dressed up at all? Or just normal clothing (jeans, polo etc)
I haven't seen a show on Broadway in 16 months, I will be wearing my favorite silk dress. However, I always dress up for shows because they are all special to me and seeing wife beaters/tevas in a theater fills me with blind rage :)

"Was last night a dress rehearsal?"
Yes.

Yes...Jujam confirmed that. What specifically? They didn't say.

Never go in jeans....but all depends on what still fits since I share Kermit's widening bod.
Possibly tropical b/c it's hot/humid. And why not?
I go to the theatre to see what's onstage, not in the audience, hoping the former will provoke me in a good way. I favor everyone dressing as they wish and I prefer sitting in an audience filled with non-judgmental folk, although that's no doubt wishful thinking. Now having said that, I am judgmental about smells in the audience so, to that end, if how one dresses affects what I can smell, then I am all in favor of the fashion choices that discourage them.

Who else predicts that the millions and millions of people who have chosen not to get the vaccine will miraculously get religious?

Very few would predict that, because (a) the overwhelming majority of Broadway theatregoers are vaccinated, (b) it will be a long time before "millions and millions of people" of any status will see a show on Broadway, (c) getting a covid test is a nuisance, and (d) the Foo Fighters MSG experience suggests that the stupid radical right types don't have the attention span to sit in an arena for an extended period anyway and just want to have a little meetup out front where they can bemoan the fact that they weren't around during the Fred Phelps era.
Just flipped past the local news and saw that they were covering this first performance. They had a reporter in front of the theater broadcasting live, but apparently a group of protesters had just showed up. They had signs and were chanting "Shame on Bruce!" Unclear what exactly they were protesting or how many of them there were.

They were protesting Jujamcyn's vaccination policy, according to CBS. Ticketholders must prove they are fully vaccinated.

Shameful. They should be grateful that he is performing. If they can do mask enforcement in the theaters where I live, there shouldn't be a problem in NYC. No warnings. They tell the people when they enter and before the show starts. The ushers are very visible in their section. Noncompliance equals security showing you out the door. You be surprised how many obey, when they see the consequences.

Imagine being so privledged that the only thing you have to protest is not being allowed to go to a Bruce Springsteen show that you can literally watch at home on Netflix
