Last week's episode of The Middle had 8.04 million viewers and a 2.3 share. Sean Saves The World had 2.58 million viewers and a 0.7 share. The Middle is a hit, Sean is a disaster. I'm more upset about the Michael J Fox Show.

Thomas Lennon was saddled with the worst character in the history of sitcoms. .

Love the people, but the writing I could not deal with.

This was exactly how I felt. That's too bad that it was finally getting better, but it is way too late for a show to finally pick up. I only watched about three weeks of it, then I gave up. I wanted to like it because of the people involved but just found the writing to be too bad.

As already mentioned, Lennon (who I usually like) was stuck with a character who seemed to exist in some bizarre parallel universe. Seriously, I wouldn't have been surprised if they later explained that he was a Mork-like alien.

Linda Lavin was so good on the show. First of all, could she look anymore gorgeous and second of all, could she be anymore talented?

Love me some Linda Lavin

I thought everyone was good in the show, I enjoy every single one of the main characters..but even the performances could not help the writing which was really flat.

Of course, I see many idiot comments on various websites that the show was doomed to fail because it was all about a gay dad and this is not acceptable by America..so there is a lot of self-congratulatory chest thumping out there (duh..the Middle, and others) But nope..it was just flat and unfunny.

The Michael J Fox show which follows is not doing much better in the ratings and if NBC could cancel it, they probably would. I think I remember reading that NBC agreed to a contract that would guarantee it would run the entire season without threat of cancellation. Frankly, I find it as flat and humorless as Sean Hayes show. Both should be much better than they are given the talent involved.

"At least this gives Megan Hilty more time to promote her wedding"

This made me laugh out loud

Thomas Lennon was saddled with the worst character in the history of sitcoms.

Not even close. It's a tie between the three men in the diner on 2 Broke Girls.
