I don't think there is much of a story here: that seems to be the only reason I've ever heard.
But you know, when the aliens land THAT's exactly how people will behave.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
I'm not sure how someone could have a story about it. An opinion, sure, but a story?
My father was killed by a couple of musicals once. Swore it would never happen again. He was walking down the street, minding his own business, when he was jumped by this Dreamgirl in a long sequined dress. The other one was a cat in a tan leotard trying to pass for human.
It got ugly fast. My pop called for a cop, but no one showed.
Damn those musicals.
Anyways, that's why I hate 'em, to this day.

I had the unfortunate experience of going to a high school where the drama teacher hated musicals. So we never got to do one. I love musical theater and I went to the only high school in the country (so it seems) that didn't ever put on a musical!!! We were only allowed to do straight plays and they were mostly these stupid one-acts. We didn't even do any really good stuff like Shakespeare! My brother ended up going to a different high school and his drama class got to do "Carousel", Guys and dolls", "the odd couple" and "Taming of the shrew". i was so jealous! I fail to see how someone can be qualified to work as a drama teacher if they hate and exclude covering one very important facet of the theater!
I once knew a guy who used to go to the same high school I did and he disliked musicals because he finds some of their stories to be bad. So I showed him the very good ones like: The King and I, Carousel, South Pacific, etc. He then grew a liking towards them and he asked if I could share my CD's with him, and I agreed.
I once had a girlfriend I truly admired for her wit, knowledge and her beauty. But just like my friend, I have also lost contact with her because she went to a college that was way out of my home state.
One day I will find true love. For a handsome geek like myself...
Not since they changed their avatar to a black woman after posting ridiculously racist things about black people so that people would forget they said horribly racist things about black people.
Did you not see my take down of Chrsity Brinkley? I make no bones about it. If someone has zero talent and is treading the boards on by beloved Broadway, Ima call 'em out, BABY!
I agree about Christie Brinkley. She's why I hate all white women.
Musical Master, have you tried Facebook to find your lost loves?
One time I saw a production of A New Brain where everyone had a really bad cold and they were all scratchy and straining and the bag lady (? I block all William Finn musicals out) did some number where she had to do some runs and she went for it and started coughing and I had to jab my keys into my thigh to keep myself from laughing.
You guys are very sad people. But I'm not gonna let you bring me down, BABY! I got tickets to PATTI LUPONE today and I'm on top 'o the world!
And, as you can see from my avatar, I love Pearly Mae (Bailey), Audra McDonald, Jennifer Holliday, Nell Carter... the list goes on. Those women PAID their dues. They paid in SWEAT. These Christie Brinkleys, Wendy Williams, and others NEVER did!!
