On January 25th Sherie Renee Scott will leave her Ursula role behind her in the Little Mermaid. I know she doesn't usually come out at the stage door but i was wondering if anyone thinks she would for her last night.(also i was talking to the security guard and he said that he has seen her come out only twice. my cousin said she doesn't like all the little kids, but i'm not sure if that's right at all). also if anyone else is going that night, let me know

Posted: 11/24/08 at 5:19pmI saw her understudy 2 Saturdays ago and she was amazing. I felt she gave much more to the part than when I saw Sherie do it in Denver last September.

Yup. She can't stand kids and has said this on numerous occasions. She's also admitted that she wants to scare kids in the audience with her Ursula.
She's a chain-smoking, Jack Daniels gussling white-trash whore.

Posted: 11/24/08 at 5:45pmShe had her child here in Denver with her I heard and I also heard he (I think she has a little boy) was under the weather so she wasn't doing the stage door. The guy who plays the Prince wasn't stagedooing either.

Posted: 11/24/08 at 6:11pmShe came out the stagedoor when I saw the show last January, and came off very dry and sarcastic (similar to the broadway.com video she did giving the tour of her dressing room). Personally, I thought she was a riot, but I can see how people could see that as being a mega bitch.

I saw Cily Daniels as Ursula in June and loved her!
I saw Sherie in July and it seemed as if she was sleep deprived.

I talked to her for a few minutes at the party for her one-woman concert earlier in the year. She was very sweet and grateful for her fans.
I just felt like a bumbling idiot because I didn't know what to say :-P

Posted: 11/24/08 at 8:04pmAh yes, another thread where every Broadway performer who doesn't come out the stage door and pretend to be your friend is a "bitch."

Posted: 11/25/08 at 3:16amI saw the show the day after the strike ended last year (so...like the fourth preview maybe?) and Sherie did stagedoor. Although she signed everyone's playbill, I asked her for a photo and she said no. But I don't care! I LOVE her! She has a kid. Let her get home to her family. At least she signed playbills.

Posted: 11/25/08 at 11:01amI am so excited for Heidi.... Sherie needs to do a show she cares about... she is just doing this for the cash and it is obvious that she hates it

Posted: 11/25/08 at 11:03amI saw the show during previews too and she did come out and sign. I agree, she has her kid at home, and she has every right to go home to him. It's cool just to see her perform live.

In all honesty, the part doesn't give the actor much opportunity for "love". I think it's horridly realized. And many actor's do what they need to in order to pay the bills.
Do you think anyone WANTS to do a hemmoroid commercial???

I loved the clip and I have to say that Sherie is absolutely right. Who wants to take pictures when they are tired and arent photo-ready. Especially since people post these things all over the internet. The picture taking among fans has gotten out of control and I support any actor who declines.
I also think her comments about being relaxed through the show are true. She clearly doesnt love the part or its demographic of children and it shows. Hopefully her next part will be less special effects laden and focus on her glorious voice. :)
