Do you generally get Orchestra Pit seats for shows?

I'm pretty sure MWP's curtain design was stolen from something i fingerpainted 10 years ago...

@singtopher: yes, I always try to get a front orchestra seat. I know that seats further back give you a better overview, but I prefer to be up close.

Here's a picture of the Beauty and the Beast curtain. This is from the current national tour. Sorry for the bad quality.

Can someone post another picture of the elf curtain? I know there's one on the review thread but I'd like to see one that shows everything (border and snow flakes falling.

There isn't one. Before the show, it's an empty stage with a big gold picture frame suspended over the audience. During intermission, there is a plain red curtain hanging from the picture frame and black masking on the sides to hide the scene change.

This is my favroite thread! I know this goes back a ways, but twhat was the curtain for King and I revival at the Neil Simon? Pretty much all the reviews mention the beauty of the elephants on the proscenium and the curtain, but none say what the curtain is!

It wasn't really a curtain, just more elephants lined up all facing the center. When the show started they separated in the middle and sort of folded back into each other.

Thought I'd share some of my recent shots of show curtains and 'intermission setups'... Some of them are a little blurry though.
How to Succeed...
Wonderland: before Act I and before Act II
Arcadia: end of Act II
Priscilla: intermission
Anything Goes
The MotherF***er With the Hat: intermission, I think
Spider-Man
Other Desert Cities
Blood From A Stone
Mary Poppins
Elf
Bengal Tiger At the Baghdad Zoo

Elke, do you have a link to a high resolution How to Succeed curtain picture? I took one, but it was kindof blurry
Also, how does one post multiple pictures in one post with text in between? (As per Elke's mega-post)

Did How To Succeed change its curtain since previews? My friend texted me a picture of the show when they saw it during previews and it was a giant window with buildings on the side.
