I rarely do these 'what show should I see' posts but this time I'm REALLY at a loss! We have ONE chance to see a show before the Tonys and it's the day we arrive from Europe. So we will be really tired and probably cranky - I think the only effect this has on the decision is that we probably won't catch MFL with Benanti (I saw the original cast at least) because it's so long!
Save your money. Your headspace won’t be focused so you’re wasting good money. Even if tickets are comped, you’re simply wasting a few hours of your life.

We're deciding between:
GARY
WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME
OKLAHOMA!
MFL
I appreciate any of your thoughts!"
Out of these, Ive only seen MFL with Benanti. She is wonderful, but I can't imagine seeing this show jet lagged. Id lean Constitution or Gary. Oklahoma is supposed to be wonderful, but it sounds intense. Not sure after a long flight that'd be the best show. Constitution and Gary are both 90-100 mins. Gary is a messy comedy, lots of dicks and dick jokes, but seems ultimately pretty light hearted and could be a good laugh or shock after a long flight. Constitution will require more though but the play is supposed to be lovely. Really, you can't go wrong! Enjoy!
Purely based on it being a long show, I would not recommend Oklahoma as it is 2:45 minutes long. I saw it on Saturday and didn’t get out till the almost 3 hour mark. It is excellent however.
i have not seen Gary, but I believe it is quite short 90 minutes and a comedy so should keep you awake ?
Out of the ones you mentioned, I'd pick Gary. it's a comedy so that should help. Normally when I go to London on the redeye flight from NYC, I always drink coffee before watching a show on west end and it always has to be a pop-type musical or comedy (I watched SIX on the same day I arrived in London and loved it.)
Thanks for so many great responses already! I think you're right that it's between Gary and Constitution, and both sound so interesting in different ways.
TORONTOBWAYFAN thanks for the info about Oklahoma! I just saw it's extending through the year so that also helps, since I can probably catch it at some point.
WICK3 wasn't Six wonderful? I saw it recently and I can't stop listening to the album!
FOSSE76 just to give a time frame, I probably should have instead said that I won't be able to return for another show until at least the fall, so would be keen to know what show is more urgent (like Gary probably).
The first time I went to London three years ago, I only slept thirty minutes on my overnight flight. I still lucked into a last minute ticket to a sold out performance of Funny Girl that night. Maybe it was the energy of being in London for the first time plus the energy of that lovely musical comedy revival, but I had a great time.
I returned a year later under similar circumstances and saw the shorter yet less stellar Whisper House. As I recall it was shorter with no intermission and was glad for it.
So I’d suggest a lively musical or play. So Gary it is! I’d recommend Kiss Me, Kate but it isn’t listed in your choices. It is longer than Gary and has an intermission, but comes closest to creating the Funny Girl msgic!
I think Constitution is probably the best bet from your list as Heidi is very engaging even if you don't have a good grasp of the material she's presenting. However, as someone who travels often across time zones, I'd say a fun, upbeat, easy to understand musical is probably the best bet in this case.
