I snapped this photo when I was in town a little over a week ago. I think they got the marquee up about a day or two after Sound of Music moved out.

How would you recommend they make it less tacky?

I showed the photo to Alan Menken - he was very excited :)

The show should be what we need - good FUN!

It does not really stand out, think this is going to be dwarfed by Priscilla and have a early bath!

The poor palladium, hasnt had much luck with its last two shows artwork - what with the sound of music being hideous IMO and now this

Really don't know if this show will take off hugely. Maybe in a smaller venue and perhaps a more bigger well known star in the cast. Shiela Hancock is big but I'm not sure if people will pay top whack to see her...
I think this could be a case of when it opens we'll know...

She's the only reason I'll make an effort to go for. Prior to her announcement I certainly wasn't fussed.

Even I'm holding off buying tickets for this (and I see everything!). I'll probably wait for the reviews and possible bargain from TKTS.

The Palladium itself looks fantastic but I don't think much of the artwork.

Ms Hancock herself looks fantastic too. Did you take the photograph Mama? She looks like she's about to sing I'm Still Here.

I have absolutely no interest in this production. it's just one that doesn't draw me in or excite me.

I feel the same sam - i have about as much draw to watch "Sister Act" as i did to go and see the kenwright "half a sixpence"......and that evening ended in tragedy!! *shivers*

The Palladium is a grand place. Nobody refers to it as its name from the 50s and 60s anymore!
'The Grand Old Lady Of Argyll Street'
When performers said they were to perform at 'The Grand Old Lady Of Argyll Street' everyone knew they were playing the top theatre in Great Britain!
