Oh I agree. Lea's "maybe this time" was chilling. I don't understand the hate she gets on here. She is crazy talented.

Yeah Ray, apparently they've moved onto Jessica Chastain and Reese Witherspoon.

I think I would cry if Lea Michele were cast. This is not hyperbole.

I don't think she has any finesse as an actress.

You have little room to speak.

Cabaret is probably my all time favorite show. Yes, I would be pretty upset to not see this production -- and I just couldn't pay to see her in it.

And yes, you have no room to talk, whatsoever.

If you cry cause someone you don't like is taking a part than that is just pathetic. It's fine if you don't go see the show cause Lea is in it ( still pretty foolish but thats your decision) But to actually start crying cause Lea Michele is playing Sally is just incredibly moronic.

I don't see why. I would never cry over something so stupid.

Sally should never be played by someone who could successfully play generic ingenue parts. If she wasn't 45, my vote would be for Jenna Russell.

And who are you to judge my reaction to anything?

Here's my thing with Lea: she needs to work with someone other than Ryan Murphy, someone who will give her criticism. As talented as she is, she has turned every performance since she started "Glee" in to overindulgent, Rachel Berry-style performances. If she dials it back and shows off her legit voice, she could be great for many roles. But I wanna see LEA as Sally Bowles, not Rachel Berry as Sally Bowles.

My vote is for Scarlett, Jane Krakowski, or Isla Fischer. Just to put out more Broadway "it-girls," what about Jessie Mueller?

"Why is that?"

Because you're a histrionic, deluded poster who aspires to precocity and fails. I believe I speak for a good many when I say that we cannot wait for school to start again in a few months so you will be otherwise occupied.

Wait you guys are fighting over LEA MICHELE. Calm down, y'all. She probably doesn't like any of you anyways. She wouldn't like me either. My friends did a tour of the "Glee" set and said that everyone was warm and welcoming except for Lea.

You're either a troll or have no self-awareness.

Because that post does the opposite of disproving what I said.

That's interesting, ucj. Chastain is certainly a great choice, I have no interest in seeing Reese Witherspoon play the role though. Sorry, but Lea Michele would be disastrous as Sally Bowles, this is a role played by Liza Minnelli and Natasha Richardson to award-winning effect, this is not a two minute autotuned song on GLEE. Scarlett Johansson may have been in a pretty unsuccessful production of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF but her acting choices were committed and carefully thought out (I personally couldn't take my eyes off her), Michele is all exterior, no thoughtfulness goes into her performances.

Actually yes-- Rooney started out doing musical theatre- and while there won't be an Elphaba or Eva Peron in her future, she definitely could sing Sally Bowles

Cummings may be the only actor to star in a revival & than star again in a revival of the previous revival.

Oh God, I certainly hope it's not Rooney Mara, she bores me to tears, I'm so over her emo persona. Give me someone with personality and who's preferably not 50 lbs.

I think Chastain's a bit on the old side, but I'd love to see her. Didn't Emma Watson recently say she's interested in doing theatre? If she can sing she'd certainly be an interesting choice.

I know you. I know you. I know you.
