I wonder if that means they are shooting for Broadway previews as early as November?

Great cast!
Have to say, this got me pretty excited.
Sounds great to me.
Stark is one hot potato and Billy deserves a big Broadway part of his own. Ashford's killer voice should fit Lauper's tunes well.
I would guess they are aiming for the begining of next year for the big Broadway. I really hope they pull this off and knock our sox off!
Go BOOTS!
I think Billy Porter will be great in this. :)
America really has a theatre called The Bank of America Theater? wow
Excited for the show, I ADORE Cyndi and she can really do no wrong in my eyes. The casting is completely predictable though. While I'm excited about Sands and Porter, the rest is just the typical, tired Jerry Mitchell fan club. Oh well!

Interesting that they're keeping the location the same rather than moving the story to America.

Yes, a lot of theatre owners, as well as owners of sporting arenas/venues, across the country will sell the naming rights to their theatre in order to get the money to keep it open. On Broadway we have a theatre named after a casino and an airline. Why not a bank?
^^^
We also have a concert venue named after a camera company! :P
I must say, this got me excited!
Stark Sands can do no wrong. This is gonna be kick-ass.
This is starting to sound better all the time.
I love Stark Sands! Very exciting.
I'm thrilled about the casting. I must confess that until I read that I had assumed they were moving the setting to America. It's going to be interesting with the accents, presuming they go for Northern and don't just opt for generic English.

I'm 'pumped'.
Wasn't Bank of America Theatre formerly named for the LaSalle (Bank) Theatre?
Patti won't be playing in the Bank of America Theatre if they see her blog rant. lol
Yes, Chicago's Bank of America Theatre was built as the Majestic, and was called the Shubert for many years. For a very short time it was the LaSalle Bank Theatre, and is now the Bank of America Theatre. The name change occured during the sit-down run of "Jersey Boys," at which time it became known informally as "the BOAT!"

Wow, I am thrilled with this cast announcement! Lots of great people and Caroline Bowman, who will be in the ensemble and is currently the understudy for Elphaba on Broadway, was my counselor at a theatre camp in Maryland about 8 years ago...I always knew she would do big things!
