Love Swenson, can't wait to see him in this. So I take it Cavenaugh is out?
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

This cast absolutely rocks. The ensemble especially. J. Elaine Marcos is going to be HYSTERICAL as Cynthia. So excited for Jessica Phillips, obviously. And Wayne Wilcox and Keala Settle in the ensemble! Amazing.

EDIT: And as though we hadn't all predicted it before, Nick Adams will be appearing in his 3rd show as a man in drag. The difference this time is that he is absolutely perfect for this show. He will definitely be the Adam/Felicia understudy.

"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal "I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello

I disagree about Nick Adams being perfect for this show, esp. as the Felicia u/s. Nick is just too bulky. Oliver Thornton, who plays the role in London, is drop dead gorgeous, and is in amazing physical shape, but he doesn't have Nick's huge biceps and thighs that I always find make him totally look like a man in drag. When Oliver drags it up, he is amazingly feminine looking. Nick can't look feminine no matter how hard he tries because of his incredibly bulky masculine physique.

Not really..the character of Marion is on stage for about a minute in the first half. The rest of the first half, Jessica will be doing random ensemble tracks.

In the second half towards the end she's in a bit more, and sings a bit of Boogie Wonderland.

Uh, I saw the show in London last month, and I totally disagree. Oliver has HUGE biceps and pectorals. He is quite bulky himself. He looks like a HOT man in drag. Nick and Oliver have very similar body types.

TheatreFan4 comes off as incredibly harsh in using those terms with regards to Nick Adams. He doesn't deserve such vitrol. Nick Adams is a nice guy who does the best job that he can onstage. For you to use such words in such a cavalier way says more about YOU that it does about Nick. Team Nick. from RC in Austin, Texas... visiting NYC from June 15-18.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

TF4, I want so badly to be on your side here and agree with you 100%, but you can't possibly be using a BroadwaySecrets post to support your point.

On the subject, if Nick Adams didn't have the body he has, he'd be doing dinner theatre in Reno.

Could everybody just lay off Nick Adams? He works hard, showed he could acquit himself solo at Birdland and hasn't done anything that I can see to make people so vitriolic about him. No, I'm not saying he's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but he's part -- a working part -- of the Broadway community who works damn hard. Be thankful that we have his likes around.

Oliver is absolutely divine in the role. I kinda hope he transfers to Broadway as well if they can't find a suitable person for the role. I think he's quite perfect for the role.
