I can't wait to see it again; those were some good thoughts, Curtain.
The women never question Nick falling in Love with a Shark, just that he is falling in love at all.
I sort of think that because it's a play all about unconventional love, and to be honest, that's basically (no offense at ALL intended) what Carla Carla and Donna have. Who would they be to question Nick? They do at first, (the scene on the bench - "nice looking cute or nice looking nice...") but after that they live and let live.
I love that the play is a really different way of conveying a sort of obvious, but sweet message.
Anyone hear if SWIMMING is extented at all?
Ok I realize I havent seen it yet but i have read everything here like three times and i was wondering: My first reaction to the story and reviews made me think of that song from Cabaret "if you could see her through my eyes" is that the kind of thing they are going for or am i way off?
happily i will know in a few days!
Sort of, yeah. A friend of mine said the same thing the other day, actually.

It hasn't been extended and I don't think it will be because there is another play moving in right after. It's a shame though because it's a really cute play. It made me laugh the second time I saw it as well
The play that's going into that theatre after Swimming in the Shallows (The Dear Boy) doesn't begin performances until August first, and Swimming is set to close on July 17th. So, there IS time, should an extension become a possibility. I'd love for it to extend; I think I'm going to try and see it once more before it closes, anyway.
Here, look - http://www.secondstagetheatre.com/uptown/index.html
I don't think it is a "If You Could see her in my eyes" thing cause no one is prejudiced against the shark, and he is much cuter than that Gorilla!
Well, it sort of works in the sense that Nick is in love with the shark, regardless of who or what he is, just like Emcee was in love with the gorilla, regardless of who she was.
actually,I saw that show 4 times!I'm so crazy lol!anyway,all I can say,if you haven't seen yet,must go!
I envy you Emcee!!
Hey, can anyone tell me the appropriate ages to attend this?
Seems pretty universal, I think. There's a bit of sexual innuendo and same-sex kissing, so I don't think I'd take like... a twelve-year-old, but it's not really something to be all that concerned about, IMO.
BWW's review!
SITS going to final performance in this week,I miss this show...
anyway, you can see swimming Shark!check it out!

How long is it?
I'm going to try Saturday, and if that doesn't pan out, maybe Sunday.
It's... less than an hour and a half, I think. I'm not sure exactly how long it is.
when I saw board at theater, they say 1hr20min.
I'll pray you could get ticket on Saturday!
That sounds about right. And thank you! So do I.
I saw it for the last time today - the cast shows more and more of a bond every time. I'm sad to see it go.
