Thanks NYadgal, I was starting to worry.
Does the Neil Simon do standing room? Wanted to go while i was in town this weekend but pretty much all shows only have a few premiums left and nothing else! Thank god it's selling well though.

And, is there anything Stephanie J. Block can't do?!
SO much fun. I've had a Cher playlist on all day. And I definitely plan to see it again!"
Can't wait.
Wait...people actually unironically like this? What the absolute hell did I just watch? SJB is fantastic but this was...just terrible. Did a high schooler read Cher’s Wikipedia page and throw together a school project the night before it was due? The jokes don’t land, the book is a doozy and there is just no point of view. Such a missed opportunity this is.

Too bad. I was thinking of snagging a ticket this weekend to see it early in previews. Have a feeling it'll be pretty different come Opening and I'm curious.

Will do!

My lottery seat this week was 4th row in the orchestra, on the house right aisle. Stamped partial view. Everyone in the first few rows on the far house right aisle were also lottery winners, so it looks like while the show is selling well these are gonna be the lottery seats.
The view actually isn't terrible, but you cannot see any part of the back wall, which apparently is an LED video screen or something? Literally don't know. I never missed someone singing or performing though, as it's staged down center most of the time.

Having seen the very first preview in Chicago and seeing this new updated version last night, I wish the final product landed somewhere closer to original vision."
I hear what you're saying, but I also saw the show in Chicago and quite frankly all it needed to push it into hit territory was exactly what you're saying has happened - simplicity. It's great that Moore came in with a ton of big ideas...some of which were really cool! But I didn't go to see THE CHER SHOW hoping to see (and this is literally what it was) a Cher show within a Cher show narrated by three Chers that were sometimes within the show within the show but not at other times and also her mom was in the show within a show but also not at different times and there were some great memory book scenes/songs and damn that Steph Block can sing and those costumes were pretty.
BUT - that being said - it sounds like they cut away exactly what they needed to make this sucker a big, fat, stinking hit. Can't wait to see it again.
I really don't want to rain on your parade, but I agree with VotePeron. Clearly, this show is bringing Cher fans a lot of joy, but this was a big miss for me. It was just another campy, plastic jukebox musical. I've always liked Cher, but I've never been a "fan," so maybe this one just didn't work for me. SJB is fine, but she's pure camp and not necessarily in a good way. The person I was with felt almost like it was an SNL impression and that the musical almost seems like a parody musical.

the show is phenomenal. WOW. my jaw dropped from the second stephanie walked out. She is ... i dont even have the words for how amazing she is. i didnt think her cher was campy at all. i thought it was spot on.
the weakest of the three is Teal Wicks.
now as for the songs, here's what i can remember, and please help me out cause im definitely fuc*ing up the order in some places and missing a few songs:
if i could turn back time
you better sit down kids
half breed
the shoop shoop song
i got you babe
when the money's gone
bang bang
heart of stone
strong enough
living in a house divided
vamp
gypsies, tramps, thieves
just like jesse james
i found someone
the beat goes on
a song for the lonely
woman's world
different kind of love song
you haven't seen the last of me
believe/strong enough/take me home (finale medley)

Thanks. Was really hoping for all or nothing and love hurts or baby save up all your tears to make appearances. I go see it the day before it opens. I really hope it doesn’t disappoint I’ve been looking forward to this since it was originally announced work. And I’m not a huge juke box “story of” musical. Fan.
Did they add “different kind of love song” as part of the concert series at the end or during one of the scenes.
