There need to be more voters under the age of 60 who actually reflect the diversity of Broadway and who actually reflect Broadway audiences.

I'm happy that the Drama Desk awards rewarded Spongebob, a awards show that actually reflects the community.

Hi there. Broadway audience member very, very under the age of 60 here. I loved TBV with all my heart and thought Spongebob was fun but a bit of a mess. Do I not count as “the community” now? Maybe don’t generalize.

Not a great season but there is talent up there. TBV and MFL are very good shows. Sometimes we have bad seasons and sometimes Great seasons like last year.

Calm down, I'm not saying that as a dig against Band Visit.  Someone was saying that it looked like Spongebob was being snubbed all around and this was my answer.

Yes, ABV deserves best musical.  No one has ever argued that.

I’m sorry but Patti Murin looks way too old to be playing Anna. I’ve never seen her perform as her before and it truly looks weird and wrong.

I, personally, am so incredibly happy for his win. I thought his performance was just a revelation. He made lots of bold choices and portrayed Cohn not as a monster, but as a truly complex figure. There wasn't a moment he was onstage that I wasn't riveted.

You know Harry Potter will win best play. They do not have heads up their bums. And tbv was ineligible for dd because it was up last year. 

 

The Lion King won best musical and that means its not all about high art.

I'm forcing my family to watch (as usual), and my mom has become a Frozen fan just because of that performance. It was much better than I expected it to be!
