I agree seeing Tina live was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. I am excited to see the musical though.
I saw the Wildest Dreams tour in Denver at an outdoor venue. I liked her hits but wasn't a really huge fan. I was 15 minutes into the show. She was incredible.

Saw this tonight via the lottery and I’m so glad I did! Warren is a powerhouse!!! I’m sure she won’t win the Tony but she’s giving an incredible performance!! And does Lloyd know how to direct a musical. The ending, when it turns into a full out concert - complete with video screens for the mezz - is just pure joy and you leave on a high.
The book is a mess - the mom in the hospital scene felt never ending - and every 5 seconds someone’s getting slapped or hit - which made it laughable - but overall enjoyed it!

No slip or anything. Nothing on the call board. And it looked like her. I was pretty close.

Check your Playbill, Nkeki was likely listed as Tina. Kayla was probably listed as Tina for the Wednesday and Saturday matinees.

I went to yesterday’s matinee to see Kayla and ACL is correct! The playbill has Nkeki as evening performances and Kayla as matinees. Adrienne is out of the playbill this week.

She’s in my playbill! She’s listed as Tina and the slip only has Ikette #2 as an understudy! It was def her. I’ve seen her in Bring It On.
Saw this last week, and to echo what most have already said, this is bio-musicals 101 but Adrienne Warren makes is absolutely worth seeing. She is stunning in the role, giving one of the greatest triple-threat performances I've ever seen.
I'd also add that Daniel Watts was fantastic as Ike, he was charismatic, intimidating, and pitiable, sometimes all in the same scene. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a Tony nomination as well.

Whether Adrienne is on vacation or not....
Why don’t you think she’d win the Tony. I left tg3 theater thinking, if the Tony went to someone in a bio last year (SJP as Cher), does that hinder another “bio role” in the following year. And ironically, same thing in Actor category at Oscars (Malik/Mercury last year and Elton this year).
i grabbed a great seat last Friday and loved the performance, and the energy level. The show was okay, but the overall production and performance was definitely worth the evening.

i think SJB's win in a lackluster year for a lackluster show hurts Warren- I didnt see the Cher Show but I thought Warren was a sheer force of brilliance in Tina (and didnt share the role with two others).
I can see a resistance to give the Tony Award to another lead actress in a less-than-perfect bio musical that lauds a living icon. Tina and Warren seem to be major improvements on Cher and SJB but i think they are working uphill here.
But she will get nominated and she will perform and i see the show running a while.

Oh, I didn’t mean to make it sound like she shouldn’t win! She’s incredible in the role! But we haven’t seen Clarke’s performances in “Caroline or Change,” and that’s a pretty powerhouse role.

And let's not forget Katrina Lenk as Bobbi whom we haven't seen at all yet. Let's also remember Adrienne lost the Olivier to Clark last year. The Leading Actress in a Musical category is stacked this year. It's gonna be interesting to watch unfold.

ACL, is there any update to Adrienne's schedule? I was there Sunday, March 1 & was told she's not working Sunday matinees. I can't find anything that updates who is when.

The producer doesn't put Adrienne's replacement on the white insert. The house manager told me the producer considers all 3 women to "share the role" so it's not a swing or understudy.

Okay, I give. I’m old. I’m guessing ACL doesn’t stand for anterior cruciate ligament or Austin City Limits?

Miles, I'm pretty sure ACL stands for A Chorus Line given ACL2006's profile pic.

Ah, okay. Makes sense. Way better than my guesses. Lol
I guess no one pays attention to posters. ACL2006 posted within the last week. Bottom line, I'm trying to get an update to Adrienne's schedule. If you know that Miles and Garrett, that would be helpful.

I guess no one knows how to use the internet. From the Tina website:
Adrienne Warren is scheduled to perform as Tina Turner Tuesday through Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees and Nkeki Obi-Melekwe is scheduled to perform the role on Wednesday and Saturday matinees unless stated below:
