I think I'm the first to post this, I don't see it anywhere else. But last night "The Battery's Down" premiered on the interweb and I'm OBSESSED. It's a new musical pilot created by these U of M grads about this boy Jake living as an actor in the NY Musical Theatre world. It was hilarious and had all these star cameos--Michael Arden, Jonathan Groff, Rachel Hoffman, Andrew Keenan-Bolger and my personal favorite, the hysterical Jenn Cody. It ends with a huge production number with all these fierce kids dancing in Times Square. Made me glad I don't have a weak bladder.

This is not a TV musical. It's an online web show.
That being said - LOVES IT!
BWW had an article on this.

The "Courtney Wolfson as Eponine" cards were so good. I also LOVED the Larry O'Keefe joke and the huge key change. so many fun little theater things in there.
and Jen Cody soo great. She reminds me of Cherri Oteri from SNL.
"This Is My Life" IS the song about my life!!! And his bedroom - it looks like an exact duplicate of mine, except he has much more stuff than I. I WISH I had that many windowcards! I loved that he had a window card from the Sandy Duncan revival of PETER PAN!
"Larry O'Key Change" = PRICELESS!
They're amazing.
I love the Larry O'Ke... ey change! And also all of the physical and lyrical references in that song. I cracked up when the girl did the "In The Heights" move.
Very funny! Loving it!
This made my week. I'm going to go watch in over and over again!
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Part one kinda bored me (but I guess it was burdened with a lot of set-up), but part two was REALLY enjoyable.
(And I'm always impressed with in-public, on-location, not-a-closed-set choreography!)
Leave Laura aloooooone! LOL
Very funny :)
I really enjoyed the first episode a lot!
Ahhh I am officially obsessed!
It wouldn't have been as funny if I hadn't just been in Once on this Island. I wouldn't have got that whole section of the song...
are there any more episodes?? or just those two?? 'cause that was awesome!!
And you know that we know you slept with Donna Vivino simply 'cause she was the first Young Cosette!
These two videos were the first episode. They are supposed to premiere a new episode on the first of every month. So we have to wait for the next one. =(
I love the whole LBB thing. It's hilar.

That was fantastic...I can't wait for the next episode! I enjoyed the fact that "This Is Your Life" took on a "La Vie Boheme" quality 3/4 of the way through...hah.
arg!!!!! I can't wait for the next one! I am so impatient.
They should do a myspace music page so I can put "This is Your Life" on my profile. It's so perfect.
I want that song. Scratch that. I NEED that song.
OMG. I love this!
I NEED that song.
The LBB joke is hysterical!
EDIT: Go to the songs section and you can download all the songs.
