Anybody know what's going on at Telecharge? Since their new site went live, I can't seem to order any tickets online. Yesterday, I tried multiple times (through multiple browsers) to order Gatsby tickets. Got through the payment page, hit the submit button, and it comes back to the payment page as "Syntax error" and a bunch of jibberish. After 4 or 5 tries, I gave up and called them and ordered the ticket. Today, the same thing is happening while trying to order a ticket for Stereophonic. I get through the payment page, hit submit and it comes back "Syntax error". (I tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome browsers and yes, I cleared my cache multiple times). I need to order a bunch of tickets for an upcoming 13-day trip and can't see myself sitting on the phone all day with them. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
yea the new site alwasy seems to have issues as I also tried ordering tickets and error comes up and they need to do something with showing seats available vs not with some sort of better color coding as is it sucks! Broadway direct is far superior more streamlined, quicker and prices are color coded and very easy on the eyes compared to telecharge. Nederlander got it right!

Telecharge, can we please make exchange an option on the website? Many of us, myself included, have on call jobs or sudden illnesses where we need to exchange the ticket(s) for another date.
In order to do this, we have to reach out to your customer service reps which some do respond and are pleasant to work with. At times do not respond to exchange requests or do respond after the ticket was sold. And if not sold, don’t get me started on your unreasonable past date policy - I have Purlie Victorius ticket I’d love to past date but because I live 2 hrs away, and directed to call in at noon for a 2pm show? I would have to assume a ticket was available to past date and if not, scramble to find something else to see.
If an exchange feature or a reasonable past date policy could be put in place, that would alleviate so much stress for myself and other theatre patrons.
ps- I have no issues with your new website. I like the layout! And find it much easier to use vs the old. It’s user friendly and I like not having to use telechargeoffers to add in discounts. Website is a plus, just add and exchange and new past date policy and you’ll be perfect.
Sorry to report that the same issue continues. To their credit, Telecharge PM'd me shortly after my initial post, apologizing and acknowledging the problem they were having and that they were working on it. If I still wanted to buy the ticket to Stereophonic, I should call them. Didn't have time yesterday, so today I went back online to order it. Same dang error message. So I broke down and called them. Unfortunately, when trying to order the ticket and telling the agent that I want to purchase seat C111 (that was clearly listed as available on the Telecharge site on my screen), he told me that it WASN'T available. Frustrated yet again, I hung up. This can't just be happening to me. And I'd imagine the producers might not be too happy knowing that their potential customers can't even spend their money to see their show. Don't know what to do next.

Their site is a disaster - it is difficult to do anything on it.

This isn't up to telecharge but the individual productions.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

That’s what the website says but Telecharge allows exchanges. They “talk to the box office” which is bs since I’ve called Telecharge before the box office to discuss exchanges. So instead of doing all that extra work, streamline the process and have an exchange button on the website. It’s not that hard

I’ve bought Gutenberg several times, and The Great Gatsby and Stereophonic today without issue. The website is much better than before. Sorry youre having issues.

In theory, online exchanges may sound like a simple concept, but they are actually not. A lot has to happen on back end and technical side of things for an exchange to be processed. Over the phone, when Telecharge process exchanges, I believe they refund your first order and then place a new order for you. This is technically different from an exchange in which the money is just moved from one event to the other without a refund occurring. I won't go into the all the boring details, but it is not a simple feature that can just be turned on with the flip of a switch.

I completely agree—an exchange feature and better past-date policy would make attending more accessible and less stressful.
