My dream Broadway Revival would be Jerry Herman's "Milk and Honey":. I'd love to see Mandy Patinkin play the role Robert Weede played and Rebbeca Luker in the role done by Mimi Benzell. The comedic Fran Dresher could play Molly Picon. Especially now with Israel so much in the news it would be very timely even though show is set in 1947 just prior to the war of independence.

I would love to see Damn Yankees with: Nathan Lane, Aaron Tveit, Annaleigh Ashford,

Angela Lansbury was 41 when Mame opened. I always thought it would be great to see a Mame in her mid-30s. She does age 20 years or so in the show, which would make her mid-50s by the end, which in the 50s was a lot older than it is today, both in terms of attitude and life expectancy. Sutton is definitely not too young for the role.
I'd love to see Jane Krakowski do Mame. I don't think there's another actress out there that could do the role better right now, but I'm not sure that she's a big enough name for a commercial production. I think Laura Benanti might be wonderful in the part too, but she's less of a belter and a dancer.
Sorry to revive my own thread, but I just thought of a fun revival concept. Once starring Ezra Koenig (of Vampire Weekend) and Rashida Jones as Guy and Girl. It would be so fun seeing as they are together in real life.

Also as John 19:41 is playing they actually put Jesus's body in the support column of an abandoned overpass and mark it with a cross. At curtain call, the cover is rolled away and nobody's there, until we see Jesus at the top of the stage (on the bridge part of the overpass) bowing.
I'd also cast it with actual rock/pop people....
Adam Lambert- Jesus Christ
Brendon Urie- Judas Iscariot (I mean, COME O N)
Amy Lee- Mary Magdalene
Billie Joe Armstrong- Pontius Pilate
Gerard Way- King Herod
Tyler Joseph- Peter
Patrick Stump- Simon The Zealot
David Draiman- Caiaphas
Travis Clark- Annas"
I love this. But I really want a production with Adam Lambert as Jesus and Mykal Kilgore as Judas
...what, I'm gonna be the one to point it out? Alright then.
That is the absolute whitest JCS cast I have ever seen, especially for something set "in the hood." (Because that'll go over well in 2019!) Mykal Kilgore, who's played Judas before (and very well), is an inspired choice on seth's part. Maybe someone else can add a little more perspective from that direction.
HamilHansen said: "Perhaps "the hood" is the wrong way to describe the setting. I imagine a very poor neighborhood with graffiti, chain-link, kinda like where Riff dies in the WSS movie.
I do agree Mykal Kilgore is a great Judas. However, I wanted to stick with a particular "theme" as far as cast. Thanks for your feedback, though! I wouldn't direct it, but perhaps someone with a better knowledge of the message I'm trying to get across will be willing to."
Picks an all-white cast, "likes" the idea of a black guy being involved but wants to stick with a particular "theme"... I'm not trying to be nitpicky, but I really don't like where this is going...
At some point in the future, I would love to see a Waitress revival set kinda like Great Comet, where members of the audience sit at tables in the diner.
(Yes, I know, Waitress is still open, but judging from the speculation on the board, it won't be for long...)
