To me, the only award that Hamilton is nominated for which seems up for grabs and will likely be a non-Hamilton win is Best Actress in a Musical. Everything else seems wrapped up. Is that the conventional thinking out there? Also, are people leaning more toward Leslie Odom, Jr. for Best Actor in a Musical or do people think Tony nominators see Lin-Manuel's name and just check the box?

I think it's also vulnerable in Best Scenic Design. She Loves Me might win

Why? That's what it's going to be. It will win all the awards and everyone else who's not competing against it will make a joke about how lucky they are not to be nominated in a "Hamilcatagory". The opening number will joke about it, jokes about how hard it is to get tickets will be said throughout the entire show, etc. it's just what it's going to be.

I have Hamilton winning 10 awards, losing in Actress, Choreography, and Scenic Design. The only one of those three that it's certain to lose is Actress; while I feel confident that Shuffle Along and She Loves Me will win in the other two categories, respectively, it is of course possible that overwhelming support for Hamilton could lead it to win in those categories, too.

PianoMann, you may be right on scenic design since it's not as flashy as She Loves Me. Choreography, though, I think Hamilton is brilliant and unconventional. I'm calling choreo for Hamilton.

That's entirely possible! The nominating committee clearly liked Shuffle Along, though, giving it the second-largest amount of nominations, and Choreography is the only award it might take home (with Costume Design a distant possibility). I don't think they'll let Shuffle go home empty handed, and Savion is beloved in the industry, so I'm gambling a bit and betting on him.

And a win for Best Replacement, a category that will be reinstated on the spot when Barbra announces she's taking over for Lin.

I agree with all of this.

Interestingly the ballots were apparently not due until Friday night. Jordan Roth showed his blank ballot on his social media before he filled it out.

As usual I'm missing out on the shows, it seems like a good year even though we know the outcome.  Any of the other shows might of beat Once, Spamalot,...
