Didn't that polling of Tony winners have Renee winning actress. That surprised me
"

Renee is contending in the Featured Actress category, where she's favored to win. Phillipa Soo is nominated in Actress, where she's likely to lose to Cynthia Erivo.

Do you even know what sanctimonious means?  www.dictionary.com I'll wait

Yes I know exactly what it means. But thanks for double checking with me about that.

Oh then you're probably embarrassed by using it incorrectly. Keep up your hot Hamilton contrarian takes though. Everyone thinks you're real cool!

On my "ballot" I have them winning musical, book, score, featured actress (Renee), featured actor (daveed), costumes, direction and orchestrations. (8 total). I picked she loves me for scenic design, shuffle for choreography, Danny burstein for actor and Cynthia for actress. I also picked American psycho for lighting lol

Was a bit disappointed with the commercial for the broadcast I saw yesterday. The only show featured was Hamilton.

I agree that I think Hamilton could lose some awards tonight.  Well, I'm not sure, but I thought Shuffle Along was fantastic.  The choreography and costumes were awesome.  I personally like the costumes better than Hamilton's. Choreography, from what I have seen of Hamilton,  looks great too. So, I really have no idea what will happen.

Are they showing them in Times Square this year?

If Hamilton takes twelve awards, it becomes the statistically "best"/most honored production of all time, correct? Surpassing The Producers?

No,  someone pasted earlier this week that they would not be.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Thanks Dramamama. Gotta find somewhere to run to after work to catch the last 75 minutes! Glad they are streaming it. I will get to see most of it.

No, if it wins 12 then it ties The Producers. It would need to win 13 to break the record, which seems highly unlikely.

Looks pretty certain it will lose best actress and set design, also toss ups include best actor, choreography and costume design. Small possibilities as well that they lose best lighting... My guess is they only win 8. 9 tops.

Is it really that much of a toss up with Best Actor? I know this is probably a little unfair since I know pretty much nothing about the Fiddler revival, but I really would be pretty disappointed if Leslie (or Lin, but I know Leslie's got the edge and that's totally good by me- I love both their performances a ton) didn't win.

I'm at least going to go into it assuming it'll probably (hopefully) be Leslie :) That's not one of the categories I'm thinking is *hugely* up in the air, though it does seem a bit let certain than some of the other ones Hamilton is more sure to win (Score, Book, etc.)

It does seems like Choreography could kind of go either way, so my best guess is also that Hamilton will win 10, and *maybe* 11 or even 12 if it does happen to win choreo and scenic design. But I'd say 10 seem at least pretty sure to go to Hamilton unless there are some upsets. Which is possible, but I personally hope they don't happen.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Do we know what Hamilton is performing yet? And is Cynthia doing "I'm Here"?

Sorry, there are too many threads and posts to sift through :p

Thanks Drewski. Might be an odd number without the muskets. Sort of wish they went with Non-Stop.

But the Schuyler Sisters have been seen in those same social media posts so it must be a medley. Also Yorktown doesn't feature Leslie Odom Jr much which wouldn't make sense. I'm guessing medley and look forward to being surprised. Also Javier can be seen in the social media images wearing the blue uniform coat, looks like his Hamilton costume.
