In this Sunday's Arts & Leisure section (which i got today), full page ad on page 3, it says that The Humans is moving to 'The Cort' starting August 9th.
Kind of a big error, huh?

Would love to see Rudins face when he sees this

I feel badly for whatever one of Rudin's assistants missed this!
Wow. It had to have been a last-minute theater change that happened after the ad drop deadline. The Sunday Times generally has to be submitted by Monday (which is a much longer lead time than any other day), and the theater announcement happened on Thursday, which is way too late to change things, even pulling the favors I'm sure they attempted. I think it's much more likely that the destination theatre changed and all parties knew they were going to have to go out with the wrong theatre in the Sunday Times than it was some sort of mistake or oversight. They're both Shubert houses, so.

My guess is that the mistake was made at the agency, sending the wrong file to the Times. Rudin very likely laid his own eyes on the proof (this is a huge buy, not someone ordering business cards).
I was thinking what Taryn said...a change that happened AFTER a deadline.
I don't think it's a huge deal though....their tickets will say the correct theater.
Regardless of the theatre name, am I the only one who thinks the ad is way too wordy and busy looking?

For what it's worth, I had been hearing rumors about the transfer to the Schoenfeld weeks ago, so it seems unlikely to me that they changed houses at the last minute.
If the Cort was ever considered, I'm glad they didn't take it. I don't think this show would play very well to the balcony.

I feel like that's very much been what all the visual campaigns have looked like for The Humans, but maybe that's just me.
ETA: It's a pretty wordy play, so it's fitting.
I don't like the artwork at all. Didn't like Shuffle's either.

I see a great Swimming with the Sharks sequel, with Kevin Spacey reacting calmly to theatre errors!

I don't think this is accurate.
When we passed the Helen Hayes the other day, my boyfriend and I were saying how terrible the font is for all the text outside the theater.

So looking at the shows in August, they are selling tickets based on the seating chart for the Helen Hayes- this whole move seems surprisingly sloppy

Dare I ask who the ad agency is?
It looks like it's SpotCo.

"the view from the front of the orchestra onto the upper level of this set is pretty terrible, you'd likely get a much better show from the balcony

So what is going into the Cort?
