Found this news on the Jerseyboysblog. They'll be on KPFK 90.7 TODAY starting at 12pm pacific time. The station streams over the internet if you want to listen and aren't in SoCal.
I hope their interview ends up on GILG. But if anyone listens, give a quick summary.
Pretty cool to have those type of casual sightings! It's been a while since I've actually set foot in my old neighborhood (outer Mission), since I now live in San Mateo, but just like in NY, friends see JLY and other cast members in other parts of the city (oh what a city.....) too, going about their regular business. Maybe it's just the matter of how big the play's gotten and how large their fanbase is. It's true that now, since I've moved away from SF, the only way my family and I get to see and meet the cast is at the stage door after performances and at public appearances.
If and when we see them, it's just casual and to say hi or wish them luck. We don't stalk them unlike some of the other Broadway play (non-JB) fans, but think they've reached celebrity status in a short time.
Anyone. I missed it and evidently it was an indepth interview according to what's being said about it over at the jerseyboysblog, not one of those promo interviews. Updated On: 7/5/07 at 09:32 PM
My sister and I are going to go to SF straight from the airport instead of going home. That way the rest of my family can just take one car. Brilliant. I'll probably send a shoutout form the Curran. I <3 their wireless!
And RQW as Gaudio both shows Sunday? As in, with JMD, then JSpec?
I know I was saying that full cast was boring last time, but apparently I forgot to be careful what you wish for. When it rains, it pours.
Yeah, cvrenthead write a good, detailed, honest review about Jake's performance when you see it tomorrow night. Not some generalized, undescriptive, the show was great, they were so nice at the stage door type thing. We get enough of that.
edit to add: Lizzie do you know something about Drew being out?? Updated On: 7/6/07 at 01:16 AM
Oh! No, but I figured since it'd been posted here and in the JB newsletter on MySpace that both Jake and Ryan would know in advance that they'd be going on this weekend that Drew probably had something already planned.

You know what, although I like it when the leads are on, I'm glad that alot of the swings/covers are getting the chance to go on for the major roles. It's refreshing to see someone else's take.
What better way to spend a Sunday morning than a brisk walk with thousands of people that care about eliminating that dreaded disease!
I'll definitely be there but am not sure about the kids..... They're going to watch the 7:30 PM show later in the evening, but will see if they're up to going.
I hope to get some contributions in soon before the 10 days is over. Most of my co-workers are registered, but some have donated to the general Jersey Boys team. That way, everyone is covered.
I chose Jersey Boys because I love the play, my current and past two employers are not really good at team building and don't have much in terms of employee participation.
The fifty degree difference between Phoenix and San Francisco was quite shocking.
I promise a full, too-detailed rundown tomorrow. But for now, I must sleep.
I will say that tonight was a great show, possibly the best Chicago cast performance I've seen. The cast was totally on, the house was pretty full and very responsive, and Jake was... GREAT!
I brought 2 of my "Broadway-virgin" friends from work to see the show tonight and they definitely enjoyed it from the start to finish to the point that they turned out to be more enthusiastic at the stage door than me! But glad to have taken lots of pics and even got the chance to meet Jarrod's Dad in person :P He was very nice and very supportive of his very talented son :)
Wish my Dad was like that!!!
It's my first stage door experience with the 2nd Cast.
We got a wonderful photo-op with the 3 Frankies (Jarrod, JMD and Steven) and Lyndsey and also the ones with Jake, Ryan, Steve, John H., Jeremy, and Mike.
Jake's Bob interpretation is a direct hit in the nail kinda thing and he's got very powerful vocals and vibratto that is almost more powerful than Erich and what makes him stand-out is his succinct enunciation and inflection of the words that make it clearer and powerful especially in the singing parts.
It was good to see a big turn-out from Jakes family/friends and supporters for his Bob debut.
Overall, tonight show is more energetic....probably because of the weekend crowd and I think I noticed a new addition to the visuals on the big screen up stage after the curtain call...they show the original 4 Seasons, individually per screen. Unless I just didn't notice them before because of the rush to get out :P to go to stage door!
Maybe I'll share the pics when they get developed :P
PS. Don't forget Ryan Quinn West's appearance as Bob Tomorrow!

That's always been there, Sherlock.

You've seen the show how many times and are just noticing that they put the picture of the original season up on stage during the bows. The guys gesture to the screens when that picture gets put up.
