I am going to buy three of the leather jacket, because it's so reasonably priced. Um...

I know she was leaving but didn't know when but Jenny Lee Stern had her last performance with the Chicago cast yesterday. She played a great Mary Delgado. I wonder what her next move is going to be. http://www.jennyleestern.com/Jenny_Lee_Stern/News/News.html

In other Chicago cast news, they'll be performing at a benefit on 5/19. http://www.bestofthebestdiningchicago.com/?p=559

And if you're seeing the tour in St. Louis, Taylor will be going on as Frankie on 5/2 (evening) and 5/4 (matinee). http://twitter.com/taylorsternberg/statuses/799150312

Another STL review. I never thought I'd see 1776 and JB mentioned in the same article. LVM

I do think this one of the most interesting and well-written Sherry tour reviews I've seen so far, though.

Thanks for posting that clip. Sad to hear he's going to be leaving the show in 7 weeks, but it was bound to happen. He's been with the show for over a year now.
Chris played a great Frankie. Out of everyone I've seen in the role, he's at the top of my list of favorites. He's immensely talanted and I hope to see him in some other production one day.

Will the tour ever come to Baltimore, DC, Philly, or Richmond?
They have the route posted on their official site until June 2009, so maybe after then. Unless the powers that be decide to form another touring company.

But onto another subject. Taylor is going to do a little Q&A secession on his tour blog. I have a feeling this can turn out really well or really bad.
http://tourthat.blogspot.com/2008/05/question-time.html

Remember when Erich attempted something like this on his blog last year. It would have been interesting if he followed through with answers. Updated On: 5/1/08 at 04:48 PM

Just do it, but make it anonymous.

Anyway, I just rewatched the clip that broadwayfan7 posted up and just realized something. That lime green long sleeve button down shirt, is that the only one Chirs owns or is that his favorite one? I swear in almost every single TV apperance he's done, he is wearing that lime green shirt.

#2392Jeremy Kushnier interview - Toronto Star

Awww!

Although I think they goofed here. He probably meant to say "saw," not "joined." Jeremy Kushnier interview - Toronto Star

He had been the hot young star of Footloose on Broadway at the age of 23. But that was nearly a decade ago and, in musical theatre, young can get old real quick.

Kushnier admits, "I didn't really know where I was going or what I wanted to do" until he joined the Broadway cast of Jersey Boys.

"The minute I saw it," he sighs, "I knew I had to do anything to be a part of it.

I hope the straight B-Rolls of the Vegas cast find their way somewhere on the internet. And Rick sounds really great in those clips, I like Rick's voice better the JLY.

Nice article, and like the photo set that accompanied it.

But I gotta say something. The article referenced Toronto not as a tour engagement but as an individual company. I know there were rumors floating a few months ago that one might be in the works but that's all that's been heard of since then. Although from what I remember, they were able to put together the Chicago company pretty quickly and had them ready to perform the next day after the Sherry company had their last performance in SF. I guess they could do it again.

Actually didn't realize it until Lizzie pointed it out. The cast switch in SF happend one year ago today. The Sherry Company had their last performance in SF the night before and the Chicago company had their first performance infront of an audience today at the Curran in SF. I saw the show in Las Vegas last night as it was media night. I will be posting my review tomorrow hopefully, but not in this thread. I will post on the Las Vegas message board.

The new theatre is beautiful and very nicely done up for the show. Nice seats too roomy and confortable. We sat about mid-Orchestra and enjoyed the show very much. Getting out was a bit of a mess. I have to use a walker and needed the elevator, so it was hard getting to the elevator as most people were taking the stairs.

The intermission (if you want to call it that) is 8 min. they have a timer in the lobby so you know how long you have. By the time I got back in the lobby I had 50 seconds to get to my seat. The elevator took a long time and the show had started by the time I was inside the theatre. So you have to me fast and also quick on your feet to get in and out in 8 mins. I am not fast on my feet as I had to use my cane. I was not sitting in the handicap section, and my walker was at the top of the theatre being held for me.

By the time I got out the cast was already leaving and talking to people in the lobby.

I could not stop to say hello to anyoen, as my friend had to work today and he wanted to leave right away.

I have posted press kit photos on my Website. They also had a cast change.John Salvatore is Bob Crewe and I assuem the other actor is out of the show. Nathan Klau took over Salvatore's previous roles.

Yours,

Carolyn

John Altieri, the actor originally cast as Bob Crew in Vegas, fell ill recently. He might be on emergency medical leave until further notice. But it has to be something very serious since they had to bring in Nate Klau pretty last minute.

Here's hoping John is having a quick and full recovery.

I have not done my review yet, but it will be a favorable one anyway. The show was great. I suffer from migrains and had one yesterday. I only got a about 4 hours sleep at the most. I will try and get my review out today.

As to the cast change they had a printed page made up only saying that the role of Bob Crewe is now being played by Salvatore and then under that Nathan Klau is currrently playing the other roles. They gave Nathan's bio in that. So it sounds like Salvatore is in that role for awhile, but the other role is yet to be finalized. I can find out, next week maybe if they want to give out that information.

Also, I have Red Carpet photos I am supposed to get in the next few days. If BWW does not post any (not sure they had a photogrpaher there as I have done photos for them in the past) I will send them to Rob.

As I said I will post my review on the Las Vegas page.

Yours,

Carolyn
