I have not done my review yet, but it will be a favorable one anyway. The show was great. I suffer from migrains and had one yesterday. I only got a about 4 hours sleep at the most. I will try and get my review out today.
As to the cast change they had a printed page made up only saying that the role of Bob Crewe is now being played by Salvatore and then under that Nathan Klau is currrently playing the other roles. They gave Nathan's bio in that. So it sounds like Salvatore is in that role for awhile, but the other role is yet to be finalized. I can find out, next week maybe if they want to give out that information.
Also, I have Red Carpet photos I am supposed to get in the next few days. If BWW does not post any (not sure they had a photogrpaher there as I have done photos for them in the past) I will send them to Rob.
As I said I will post my review on the Las Vegas page.
Yours,
Carolyn
i dont really know what jersey boys is even about... so ya. Yay! i guess
This is one of the most non-review-like reviews I've ever seen. Lame.

John Altieri has passed away earlier today. His death was untimely but he went peacefully and surrounded by his family. My condolences and prayers go out to those who were in John's life as they go through this tough time. May he rest in peace.

I'm buried in a profound sadness.
John, I'll miss you.
This is so saddening. I don't even know what to say.
My condolences to John Altieri's family, friends and fans who are mourning right now.
He is a star in the heavens and the night sky will be dimmer without him but his thoughts and amazing performances as Bob Crewe/Thug will always be in our collective memory.
Why does he have to go so early? No one knows but I know for sure that he has lived the life and probably smiling down at us right now from his heavenly abode.
Web love you John and we'll miss you.

How very, very sad.
Eric Gutman just posted something to his blog:

(The "Dawn" story is hysterical.)
I still can't believe this.

Lizzie beat me in posting the link.
That was a touching entry from Gutman. John really was taken away from this world too soon.

A friend of mine in the cast of PHANTOM posted condolences from the Phantom cast on her Website, which is for the Las Vegas entertainment community. She also posted Taylor Sternberg's comments from his Website on her site.
"Heartfelt condolences to the Jersey Boys family
We at BROADWAY VEGAS are so deeply sorry to relay that one of the Jersey Boys cast members has passed away. John Altieri played Bob Crewe on the national tour and was slated to play the role here in Vegas. The young actor fell ill and his life was tragically cut short late Saturday night."
The rest of the message is above from Taylors comments.
I am finally getting some of my photos from the red carpet from a photographer friend. I started my review, but the sad news kind of stopped me today. Sad to hear about such a young perofrmer passing away.

Carolyn

I don't know what else to say. Taylor and Eric's blogs were wonderful.
I'm so sad to hear this and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

I have some Gala and Red Carpet photos on my Website now. Still have to put my review up, but am still dealing with a migraine. So only got the photos on today. I received them from photographers and friends.

Which suit are they supposed to be wearing for "Big Girls"? The red one? I can't remember.
Updated On: 5/7/08 at 04:44 PM
Yeah, they wear the same jackets as in "Sherry," because the next costume change doesn't happen until right before "Walk Like a Man."
Sorry but I am not intimidated and I will not stoop down to your level. What a coward. Hiding in a made up bww account.
Anthony sure is lofty and high minded all of a sudden.
Everyone check out the REAL level our FUGLY friend is willing to stoop to:

Wow anton! That isn't very "Christian" of you.
You may want to crack open that dusty bible - you know, the one under all your porn magazines and playbills - and check out what the big "J" might have said.
psst.. big "J" doesn't stand for Jersey.

I agree, HIV's no laughing matter. and Jersey Boys isn't even that good a musical. YOU DOUBLE FAIL. :P Also, in all seriousness to make that kind of comment on a broadway board, an industry that lost so many talents as a result of that illness, and there are regular posters here who suffer from the illness and many who have had friends die from the illness, is completely insensitive, and just...well, reprehensible.
