So according to some posters on the JB Board. Erich slipped on stage, luckily he didn't fall through a trap door again. But they had to stop the show and he was taken away in an ambulance. Hopefully they just took him to the hospital to make sure he didn't reinjure his back or any other serious injures. Mike Backes took his place (his first time as Gaudio) and finished out the show.
And not to change the subject (I'm all for spicing things up a bit), here's a short interview with Michael James Scott at Vegas opening: https://www.vsocial.com/video/?d=224002

I refused to see Jersey Boys in Broadway when we were there in 2006 because nothing about Jersey appealed to me until Dec. 2006 in San Francisco when I watched one of the previews for the show. It quickly drew me in because of the familiar and upbeat songs of Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons that I used to hear over the radio and the amazing talents of the cast, choreography and the total theater experience reeled me in and I am hooked! I started watching the show regularly and even watched the 3 company transitioned from the 1NT, Chicago and the LV company. It brought me good memories because several dear friends and family members were with me during most of those exciting moments. I started collecting memorabillias and have now collected various playbills from various locations including the Palazo Opening Night Playbill that I have acquired personally on my last visit to Las Vegas.
More about me:
The Political Science textbook defines Political Socialization as the learning process by which people acquire their political opinions, beliefs, and values and in my own personal experience, some major events in my life that contributed to my own political outlook are specifically my family, church, school, the 9/11 attack and the military.
A few years back, I have considered myself a staunch Republican and a card carrying member of the right-wing Christian Coalition largely based on my religious upbringing but several major events later in life contributed to my complete reversal of ideological loyalty to the Democrats following my religious disillusionment and disenfranchisement.
Growing up, my family brought me up in the protestant belief of the United Methodist Church and I even attended a Roman Catholic High School and it became a constant force in my life from childhood up till my late twenties where I firmly believed in living a good Republican life and oppose the Gay Rights Movement who pushes for equal GLBT rights in all aspects of life from same-sex marriage, civil unions, and gays in the military. I even advocated the spreading the word of God in the domain of the government by rejecting ACLU
I don't think that "trite" is the word you're looking for.

So, with the news that Chris Jones is leaving the tour to work on Joseph, some people were actually wondering if he was leaving just for the time being or permanantely.
The rumor mill is basically saying that Chris is leaving permanately...and JOSEPH LEO BWARIE, the alternate from the Vegas cast (and he did cover the alternate role on tour before) is going to be his replacement. It seems pretty official to me, I would have been more skeptical if I heard it from a certain group of people...
I'm kind of surprised if JLB is being promoted. OK, so I saw him early on when the "Vegas" cast was still in SF, but I didn't think he was spectacular. His vocals ranged from excellent to outstanding, though, so I'm sure he can handle 6 shows a week.

He handled the score beautifully -- his acting wasn't as strong as some, but I admit a preference to Chris, the most intense Frankie of them all, so FWIW...
